These hiking boots are absolutely one of the best, and quite possibly the best from UA. I've had them for a year, but really only broke them out recently. Initially, I felt they were too small, but that was just in appearance. The exterior 'looks' small, but the interior is the exact size. This is because the boots are made from material that is minimalist/thin, yet extremely durable. They are very comfortable to wear all day long and also feel like they're part of your foot. The sides and heal fit snug, yet there is enough toe room - i checked by pressing the front and there was room. The fit is molded around the ankle, heel, and arch.Initially I was thinking of ordering a size up since they looked small and I wanted to wear with thicker socks or two pairs of socks. So far I've just worn with two pairs of socks and they feel comfortable all day long (off course a single pair works just as well - tighten the shoe laces for a snug fit).I have work the vibram five fingers for many outdoor activities and races, and these come close to those - they both have different uses, so the comparison stops there. But in terms for form-fitting these hiking boots are the best. The heel provides sufficient cushioning that's needed for hiking or hard surfaces.I would definitely recommend getting these if you are looking for a hiking boot with a snug fit and minimalist feel.

There are several things I like about these boots. I like the price as they are $14 cheaper than at zappos.com. I also like the comfort of these boots and the design of these boots.I am a supervisor for UPS drivers and as part of my job I am required to ride along with them to evaluate them on defensive driving and safe work methods. When I'm on the route with them I follow every step they take for a period of 10-12 hours. These boots make those hours more pleasing by the comfort they provide to my feet.I reviewed these boots in detailed as I do with all my purchases on Amazon.com. I saw several reviews that brought concern when customers stated that they do not last even an 8 hour shift. However, I decided to test it out for myself. I have used these boots for 4 consecutive days now and I do not see any issues in regards to holes, tears etc. I am expecting these boots to last me a solid 6-8 months depending on how often I use them.They fit perfect to my feet and I feel my foot is secure in them. The ankle support is great, I feel them hugging my ankle and giving it stability. When I walk on them my feet get an extra cushion not found on other boots. These boots are still very flexible for all type of terrain you might face.Lastly, I love the design on these boots and many of my employees have approached me to compliment them. The price is worth it on these boots and I am looking forward to get another pair when needed.

Stop looking/comparing for hiking Boots! These are the ones you want! I have reviewed many items on Amazon and of course I'll give my opinion on items, along with some facts; however in this case I want to express a little more enthusiastically that these boots are Awesome. Now let me explain why I am so happy with these boots: I am a 250+ stout guy and when I hike I usually have an extra 60 or so lbs (not counting drinking water weight), so A LOT of weight is constantly on my feet. For this reason I have justified to myself to spend close to $200 on a specific Nike running shoe every year (that's ending now). Well today when these UA Boots arrived I opened 'em up and checked them out. What was really cool (but not what got me excited about them) was that they truly were extremely light, almost like maybe they forgot to add some material but I liked that cuz now I could add them to my readiness pack adding little extra weight and space -vs- other bulkier boots. Now here is where the magic happened AND I cant stress enough how serious I am about this next part...I put them on... casually spent another 10 minutes sitting and opening other Amazon packages... WHEN I STOOD UP and started walking there was HONESTLY an overwhelming feel of relief directly for my feet as I walked. This exciting feeling of relief continued to catch me off guard every time I stood up and walked throughout the rest of the day. Whats even more uplifting is that Prior to putting these new boots on, I had been in my other expensive shoes reorganizing my garage after 20 years of moving and "hording" all kinds of stuff, so my feet were already extremely sore from the constant walking and carrying. Having the instant, unexpected relief even after the last two days is So nice. I am certain that I will now be wearing these boots 99% of the time from now on. Now, if you're a big fella/gal then I would HIGHLY recommend getting these!!

Very comfortable fits as expected

The shoe is not totally waterproof, but feels good on feet and look is ok, wearing the shoe and walking does not have much pain on feet.
