A very useful item for the kitchen. Convenient and easy to use, the wood is durable and powerful and easy to store. The product comes with precise usage instructions. The Slicer construction allows the breadcrumbs to be emptied at the end of each use. the addition of the non slip stickers is great, that way when i cut the bread the surface don't move. Excellent product highly recommend!

After all, you have invested (time or money) in a good, solid loaf of bread so make sure to get uniform slices. I’ve been baking bread for 20+ years and just never got around on bread slicing tools like fiddle knives or these slicing contraptions because I do not have the space. Wow, what is wrong with me! I should have bought one of these years ago. It gets slices just perfect and stiws easily for storage.1: It does what is supposed to: slices uniform pieces of bread so long as your knife is serrated and also long enough to span the width of the unit.2: It cleans easily and as a bonus it stows neatly all flat in one piece and can be stored in a wide drawer out of the way. My only complaint is that there is a little “divider piece” that doesn’t stow in place and floats around on top so it doesn’t stow completely fitted inside the collapsed unit.3: price is very reasonable for the sturdy quality of this.I recommend this if you want uniform sandwich slices from your homemade or bakery bread.

I like the idea of this slicer. Making even, not slanted slices is great. BUT, the thing is so wide. It's way wider than any 'normal' loaf of bread you'd make. There doesn't seem to be a way to narrow it at all. You still have to hold the loaf to keep it in place.

I am very happy with the ease of use and ease of maintenance. I just pull it out of the box and flip over the sides to hold the bread. Then I choose the thickness, insert the divider, slice the bread (I skip a row for double thick slices) and when I'm finished I dust off the crumbs into the tray, flip down the sides, and store it away in the box. Best invention since sliced bread!!

I've tried various methods to get even slices. Knives with guides don't work very well, this bamboo slicer did the job perfectly. I liked that there are two thickness choices for the slices, depending which end you use to slice from. As with most bread slicing tools, the knife doesn't cut all the way to the bottom of the slice, you have to remove the load and finish the job on the counter.

The unit looks nice, worked well, and folds away. It is still fairly good size. I don't think it's necessary to have something this big if you just want to cut a slice of bread once in a while. But my main problem is that it broke the first day just trying to pick it up. The bottom tray came apart at the corner. I was willing to fix it myself, but the bamboo side also split so I returned it.

We just started grinding our own wheat and making fresh bread and we could not slice it evenly EVER! So, we are so happy to have this slicer. It gives different thickness choices, catches the crumbs and the bottom platter is beautiful for serving your sliced, homemade bread! This is a very high-quality product!
