Good but with big flaws
UPDATE:After 2.5 years and a second kid, I think this is a giid monitor but with some major flaws.Pros:- Camera tilts and turns all over.- Image is great, even on night light- Automatic night light- Simple to operate and easy to add more cameras- I haven't had connectivity issues; only loses signal sporadically and is fixed if you turn off and on. Caveat, I live in an apartment so I don't go to far with it.Cons:- No alarm to warn that the battery is running out- No way to have sound on and screen off- Battery runs out quickly; now lasts less than 2 hours, so I bought a second charger and have it plugged in all day- Vox is too sensitive, even in the low setting, so my white noise machine on low volume makes Vox useless- I have two cameras. The rotation has to include the two spots for the extra cameras that I don't own. And since I don't own them, the "out of network" beep keeps going. So it is annoying during the day and useless at night. I even tried connecting each camera twice, but that doesn't work.- You should be able to rotate among cameras with Vox. I have a two year old and a baby. I wish I could see the baby constantly and the toddler only if he is making noise.----------------------Works great. The only problem is that there is no alarm if the battery runs out. It does not last through naps and night, so I plug it in every night. I wish there was a way to dim the screen at night leaving sound on, but I just cover it with a handkerchief until I want to check in.

Worth the cost, trust me!!!
This unit has helped us tremendously!! It is very portable when going over to over families houses for lunch or dinner, we can put our son down and keep an eye on him the whole time. I really love every feature about this model. I've read some reviews questioning the distance, but I can tell you I've measured the 900 yards and surpassed it by quite a few yards. BUT, the only thing between the camera and the monitor was a window and wall. The only complaint I have on this is a minor complaint and it's nothing Samsung can really fix on their own, and that is sometimes my monitor loses contact with the camera even when we are in the room right next door. We then figured out that something else in our house was taking up that "wave" that the monitor was on, but the monitor quickly reclaims it and reconnects to the camera. So again, nothing Samsung can really do since we have a whole lot of items in our house that are wireless or bluetooth or on wifi. Not Samsung's fault. So to sum up, this was worth the cost we spent, we are happy with the features, although I would like to see a temperature feature added. Great product!!!

Wifi Intereference!!!
video quality is pretty good compared to other video monitors we have looked at.but...2 issues1. interferes with the 2.4GHz wifi in our house, making the wifi almost unusable2. in low light (but not complete dark) conditions, the unit flips back and forth between regular and night vision mode which causes a bit of a flashing effect on the parent's unit.

Almost perfect
Only issue is that it doesn't give any warning when it runs out of battery. If it's on VOX mode, the only way to know is if you notice the small green light go out.

... both as defective which is a pity because I loved it so long as it worked
I have owned two of these and have returned both as defective which is a pity because I loved it so long as it worked. So the first one arrived and we used it for roughly about 80 days and it worked great as far as the features (except the range). It had the best feature set of any I had seen to this point per my research before buying it, and I had no frame of reference for the video quality since this was my first vid monitor. Having since tried 4 others, I can definitely say the video quality is poor. The range is even worse than the video quality. My neighbor across the street came to visit with her baby monitor and had picture in my living room. I couldn't even get halfway down my driveway with this one. 1500 sq ft home and half the time it would search for signal while in the kitchen and there was only one wall and a door between the handset and the base. After the roughly 80 days mentioned above, it went to searching for signal and wouldn't recover. I plugged it in and charged it even though the battery indicated was only down one bar. Next time I turned it on, it worked for about five minutes then never worked again so I returned it.Skip ahead a couple months and I've tried another monitor in between and just wasn't happy with it because it didn't have vox which is a critical feature for me, so I purchased another one of these thinking the first one dying was a fluke. About roughly 80 days later it went to searching for signal and never recovered so I returned it as well. I called samsung just to inform them of this after I'd returned it, since I love samsung products and felt this was out of the norm for them. The person who answered indicated that he'd never heard of this issue and would pass my comments on. I'm not holding my breath. Samsung used to make good products but this makes me think twice now about buying anything else from them.

It's the best monitor I could find on the market
So far, after 1 month, it's been 100% reliable and I've had zero issues. It's the best monitor I could find on the market. VOX mode is key for nighttime and saves battery life, pan/tilt camera, good picture/ large screen. Enough battery life for all naps during the day; I plug it in at night so I haven't even tested how long the battery would last.
