PoE Wired IP Birdhouse Camera with Audio, HD 1080P Invisible Infrared, View on Mobile Phone, Tablet or PC

This vendor is great to work with. They have replied to me about my questions getting this camera to work for my use which is not the same as the camera is intended.I have a western screech owl that I stream.The camera is made so you can stream it on your devices. That works great on all my devices. I wish the mobile program offered a few more setting and showed more information about the camera but you can get all that information from the Windows program so it is perfectly acceptable and functional.I stream my camera to youtube with the RTSP Protocol. I am streaming the feed to youtube with a program called OBS Studio and it is working really well.I have a Green-Backyard IP camera inside the box looking down at the nest box floor, a Green-Backyard IP camera on the side looking in (not streaming yet) and an exterior camera looking at the nest box.I use the audio from the inside Green-Backyard IP camera and steam it to youtube. The audio is great! It's crisp and clear without hum like many mics have.Overall I am very pleased with the camera and to spend money I did. Many setups are into the thousands of dollars - NOT ME.

I went back and forth with support for a long time trying to get this camera to work, and never could. I'm a software engineer so should am comfortable with technology. Waste of money unfortunately.

The camera came with a detailed instruction book which wasn't that easy to follow. I got the camera working with ICSee app on my Android tablet, but the CMS5 software that I downloaded via the provided link did not work with my PC. I contacted technical support and they replied immediately and suggested that I used Internet Exporer (32bit version) with their NewActive.exe program. This worked but took several goes to get the program with an English menu. They also suggested using VLC software and provided a link to using this on a Mac computer, but the instructions worked with a PC once the manufacturers provided me with the correct rtsp address to enter into the Network URL. This program allowed audio, single frame grabs and movies to be recorded. However, I have to reset the camera clock using the Internet Explorer program each time I turned on the power. I installed this camera in a nest box containing an oak titmouse sitting on 7 eggs. I made a new lid for the box and swapped it for the original lid – the female remained on the nest while I did this. I got the camera installed just in time to witness the chicks hatching and also, few days later, I spotted a chick chocking on a piece of plastic and managed to remove the plastic with some tweezers. All chicks are now doing well and growing fast.

Camera worked great for a year or so but went offline and it apparently needs to be "refreshed" but it won't refresh and their tech support is pretty much nonexistent and non responsive. They assume you have advanced computer skills. It is too bad because it was great while it lasted.

The media could not be loaded.  I finally got around to replace my old nest box cameras with one of these in the Owl Box and another in the Woodpecker Box and I couldn't be more pleased. I chose the Ethernet hardwired option and just plugged them into my IP router as they are both within about 60 feet and it works great. I have already ingested into the OBS studio for recording and broadcast you can see them in the photos along with Mr Woodpecker in his box. The wifi version uses the same nice cameras but unless you simply can not hardwire or don't want the extra work and clutter I don't see a great need for the wifi since I'm planning to broadcast these. They are not that hard to setup and get working on your router to display on your PC phone or over the internet the included software is pretty good. It is all about getting the proper camera address to use and once you got it they work fine. Video and image quality is very good and I'm very happy with the color in the daytime. The older nest box cameras always looked washed out in the daytime or even B&W and were 480P these are 1080P. The cameras have very good depth of field so you can focus them to get almost all the action in the nest box from the floor to near the season. I want them focused to insure the nest and most of the bird movement will always be in focus and that appears to be the case. I did not test the motion detection alarm funtion as I don't really have need for that at this time.

I love this camera. I got to see my Green Cheek Conures in their nest box last year, hatch and raise 5 babies. Not only did it relieve my anxiety being able to check on them on the video app on my phone without disturbing them, it was really cool to see.05/25/2021 - Update, A year later and the customer service from this company is the best. I have reached out numerous times for tech support and product support and they have always responded in less than 8 hours to resolve my concern or issue. I really appreciate the ongoing support and would highly recommend this camera to anyone. I have loved every second of being able to check in on my birds while they are nesting, just to simply make sure they are doing okay without disturbing them. Thank you so much for this product.

Great quality camera all around. iOS app is very robust but the fields are poorly labeled to the point of not being able to do all the remote setup. Still struggling with remote setup and the documentation could be better, especially if they worked with a native English speaker to polish it and then this product would be perfect.

Did not want to run a power line, so this PoE solution was perfect. Camera features and quality exceeded my expectations. Works well with many different software packages. Highly recommend!
