IRIS Extra Pet Travel Carrier

Love this crate. I ordered another crate first and it arrived damaged from shipping so I decided to look into something sturdier that would protect my canine pal if we got into a car accident.I hope I never find out if this was a good choice with that in mind, but I do like the it has two handles on top and that the door opens either way. Because it's a bit heavy it stays in my car, but don't all baby seats!?! ;)I also like the colors and the bowl that comes with it is sturdy and a good size.

Very sturdy. Thicker plastic and metal than other crates. Tabs that line up the holes and add stability. Thick heavy door that has very smooth mechanisms on both sides. Easy on/off of door. Two handles, front & back. Roomy. Lots of air vents. I have bought many crates- from RTK to Impact to Varikennel. This is a very very good quality crate for the money and a good travel crate. Includes a place to store the included Allen wrench in case you need to disassemble the crate at your destination.

Perfect size for my 37lb pitmix. He use to cry and whine every night with his old box. Now with this one, he loves it and doesn't complain at all even it's sleep or nap time. There's enough room for him to sit up straight. The plastic is sturdy and you can tell it's it higher quality than some of the ones from petsmart. I like how the door can open from both sides. The door latch is also of high quality as locking and unlocking is done with ease (on my old one, I had to fight to get the locking post inserted into the top and bottom holes)

Update: Within 30 minutes my dog was able to remove one of the lower window gates; still an okay product but maybe not the best for certain working dog lines.**************Although I wasn't too happy how my crate arrived in a mangle box but I understand this was out of the control of the shipper.I really the thickness of the metal door & the option of opening the door to the right or leftI wouldn't like to see this product made for larger dogs.Again, so far, so good...

The kennel came quickly and easily, and fits my dog well. The only real issue I had was that the bolts have a deep recess on the top and bottom, so there is no way to tighten them using the tools provided in the box. I ended up having to get a pencil to brace the nut on the bottom while I turned the allen wrench on the top. It wasn't too difficult, but there were no instructions telling me to do that and if I didn't have a pencil, I would have been out of luck.

I traveled to Europe and back with it on a plane with my Pitbull mix. (50lbs). Approved by airlines at the airport going in both directions. Just remember to buy zip ties (the reusable ones) and you are TSA ok.

The cage was deformed when I got it in the door would not fit properly.I contacted the manufacture by email twice and through Amazon and got no response.I’m still sitting here with this stupid case that I’ve never assembled.I would wreck not recommend using this brand as they’re not responsive the problems

Secured three of these to a cargo carrier on the back of my RV. The center one is for a solar generator, the other two for hoses, power cords, and other misc stuff. On top of the crates (not shown in this pic) is a solar panel.
