Geometric Beadwork

Sometimes I learn better with pictures, other times I need words. This book has both, and it’s very helpful to have different ways to learn. She also provides a lot of helpful tips and explanation as to how the pattern works.

I've wanted this book for awhile, because I love Book 1. It did not disappoint. Good information , both in terms of "projects" but also practical information for making your own designs.

I received my book Geometric Beadwork and I have to say this is certainly eye candy for the soul. The wonderful photography, is way beyond belief. The author goes out of her way to give the best explanations as possible. And although it is a very large book. I would have rather had it using spiral binding rather than just a regular book. I do not want to have to crack the spine of the book. But all the juicy tidbits of information that this contains, it is hard not to crack the spine of the book. I cannot wait to get started and then purchasing the next book she has out on the market. This is a tribute to a wonderfully talented lady who know what she is doing and giving permission to make and give away or make and sell. Is such a wonderous and most generous offering to those who pick this book up and just start reading it.

Great instructions in this book. Wonderful diagrams. In conjunction with YouTube is an excellent resource to learn geometric Beading.

This is a very well-written easy-to-follow book filled with lots of instructions and and great illustrations! Many pictures and ideas are also included in this book. Jean is a great teacher and this book is beautifully written and this is a "Beading Bible" to me! This is a must for any intermediate to advanced beader!

I should have bought this book years ago. With clear stitch diagrams and brilliant color, this book gives you the knowledge and encourages you to use it to create. As Jean Power says, "Experiment. This is how you learn new things..."

This book is awesome, very well put together and easy to follow. I haven't been able to leave it alone, the projects are great and provide alot of inspiration. Very good purchase

I would highly recommend this book to beaders like myself who don't particularly wish to make lacey little pretty necklaces. I did baulk at first at the price, but have always admired Jean Power's work, and decided to treat myself. The book is beautifully produced, the instructions are clear & well-written. Having said all that, not all of the techniques are new and some can be found in other books, but her interpretation is that little bit different, so 5 stars !

If you love to do geometric beadwork, this book is a must have in your library. Nice projects, easy to follow.

Buy it now. The patterns are easy to follow and very pretty. I made mine in size 10 beads as I was playing, but that made the items way too big. I might try size 15 beads next time, but they are quite expensive so may play with all patterns before deciding which one to go for. The bigger the contrast in colours, the better the design looks.

Some of the designs are challenging enough for advanced beaders while others are simple enough for beginners. I haven't been able to put this book down since I received it few days ago. One of the best purchases I have made so far. Highly recommended.
