Works Perfect for a Great Price.. Small Tip Below.
I like it.. think it's a great value for 10-bucks and some change. I read a few reviews commenting on it being plastic effecting it's accuracy and I didn't have that experience at all. It is made of some type of plastic but its fiber reinforced or something.. light but of good quality and made with tight precise tolorences. No play or wiggle in the moving parts. I feel its accurate as I have a Harbor Freight metal one that often needs to be zeroed where as this one I calibrated or zeroed once and it's stayed dead zero after using and turning off and on four or five times in the few days I've had it. Also thought I would be bothered by it not having the rolling thumb wheel that most have but it has just the right amount of resistance when sliding that it feels controlled in use. Also it's nice that for this price it came with a case but even better is it taking the common 2032 batteries that everything takes and I keep on hand.. rifle scopes, garage opener, bathroom scales, key fobs.. etc. Another thing helpfull to me is having the fraction unit of measurement included with decimal and mm. Handy for woodworking. One thing that drove me crazy that I found an easy fix for is it rattled around inside the case to the point it seemed to be turning it on (it auto turns on when you start using it). Also the tiny screwdriver included for the battery just tumbles around all over inside.So.. here's the tip --If you look in the lid theres two small post one at each end that holds it in place when closed.. although way to loosly. If you cut three pieces of rubber 1/4 fuel line exactly 5/8" long, pushing one over each of the post adds just enough length for a rubber bumper to hold it in place with no movement when closed. You just have to slide it all the way to the right when laying it in the case. The third piece slid over the screwdriver handle makes it much easier to use (bigger and grippier) and it'll wedge in the oval storage area in front. See my pic if interested, it shows what I did. Also worth mentioning, if not noticed, there's a clear protective film on the screen that can be peeled off making the read out cleaner and sharper when reading.Good Value.. does what you bought it for well. I say its a good buy.

Best calipers for woodworking so far
If you know — you know. This one has required precision for woodworking. It also has fractions display, so it can work as a unit converter. It’s very readable, not just because of a bigger screen, but also because of better contrast. None of the other plastic calipers in this category has these features. It’s great WEN it works. It properly resets the scale on the length test, it correctly measures a length gage. It has on/off button, so batteries aren’t drained. Battery cover is screwed on, so a battery doesn’t suddenly jump out. It’s good enough to keep a protective box. I’ve bought several for different parts of my shop.

Very nice caliper for the price!
If you need a digital plastic caliper with decent accuracy, this one should serve you well. It offers a lot for the price.Pros:1. The large display is easy to read. A backlight would be nice sometimes.2. Fractional measurement included.3. Good accuracy and repeatable. It agrees with my pricey stainless caliper. But no, you wouldn't want to use this one (or just about any other plastic caliper) in a machine shop or where measurement is super critical.4. Movement is smooth but tight enough over the entire scale, at least when new. The body stays put.5. Auto-off and auto-on.6. Battery included.7. Plastic storage case included.8. Super low price.9. Two year warranty, according to the included paper manual.Cons:1. Although reasonably accurate, it has the annoying habit of being off by at least one trailing digit (e.g., .0005") when the jaws are closed, requiring frequent zeroing after closing. And if you press hard when it's already zeroed, it will change the reading by at least that same trailing digit. Apparently, there is enough play of the body/jaw and/or the jaws aren't perfectly straight/flat, which allows excessive movement.2. No lock screw. This will become a bigger issue if/when the body starts to loosen on the slide/scale due to wear over time. If this doesn't happen for say 6-12 months of relatively frequent use, then that's not too bad, since the product is priced low enough to warrant relatively frequent replacement. If it doesn't happen within the 2-year warranty period, that would be amazing. Still, the screw should have been included.3. No thumb wheel. This isn't a machine shop quality measuring device, but IMHO it still should have been included.I highly doubt the additional 50 cents or so (pure guess) per unit in cost due to adding the lock screw and thumb wheel would have turned off any customer. I would have gladly paid a couple DOLLARS more for these and another dollar more for a backlight. Perhaps the manufacturer will reconsider and add them in a future version.

Very nice quality and awesome price tag.
Although very inexpensive, it lives up to the WEN reputation of being a highquality tool. I will hardly ever use it and didn't want to invest a lot. I just need itonce in a great while, but it's proven to be very accurate and useful when I do. Iused it to measure the shafts on my mower spindles to buy new blades, andmeasured the u-joint caps on my truck to buy the right new u-joints. The 2 sizes of u-jointsoffered have only a 3 mm difference which makes a huge difference if they're wrong, andare impossible to measure accurately with a tape rule. This digital caliper made absolutelysure there was no mistake, and easily, the first time. So far, I'm quite pleased with it.

Better than the cheapest ones but stll a great value
They may not outperform $100 Japanese calipers, but they are east to use are accurate enough for most purposes. I have bought more of these as gifts.

the plastic is too flimsy to get a good reading
it needs to be aluminum. the reading isn't accurate bc it changes too much based on the pressure you hold on it. Even zeroing the calipers is difficult bc they the plastic gives based on how tight you press.
