Prestige License Plate Cover and Frame - Chrome Finish

Well its not complicated its a license plate holder but try to find one that lasts, keeps the plate looking good, seals it against moisture, will not rattle, lasts a long time and can make your car look better, I couldn't find one until this product. Yes its kind of pricey, but its well worth it and will last as long as you own your car. A license plate holder is not something there should be a thought about,its not life and death but when you want your car to look nice, and every time you look at a plate unfinished or with a cheap holder its annoying, because it never looks quite right, this one does.

Best license plate cover on the market, bar none. Incredible craftsmanship and very nice looking. I have six vehicles and have one of every one...They really set the vehicle off if you are one to keep it clean. Even look great on older vehicles as I have one on a 2000 Tahoe. I also keep a couple "on hand" as with 6 vehicles, it seems someone is either backing into us, or whatever.If you want the ultimate in protection for your plate, this is a virtual vault. Not to mention, it will add a nice touch to any vehicle. Unfortunately, the pictures I've attached don't do the product justice.

I really wanted this plate cover, I looks nice in the picture. The first unit I received had pitting throughout the chrome. I contacted the seller and they asked me to ship the frame (12.00) shipping.I’m not used to paying for shipping once, let alone twice but I wanted to give them another shot. So 32.00 in shipping and I waited for the replacement.I received my replacement today and the pits are still prevalent and now there are two large broken plastic tabs where the frame was removed from the manufacturing mold.Thank you amazon for handling the return of this 1 star product.If you expect nice materials or a clean finish, look elsewhere.

The frame looks as described however it is useless without the machine screws needed to hold the cover to the back plate. Rather than struggle with all of the fuss in returning it I'll look for a workable screw at the building supply store.

We have had the issue of mounting screws literally fusing themselves in place to the point the mounting plate rivets spun freely making it impossible to remove the screws. Corrosion issue was written about for the black satin plate too. Although this issue was frustrating as ever the first time and required pliers and scarring the chrome just to hold the rivet in place to take the screw out, it was remedied with a different screw and nut. Enough space to use mini pliers on the bottom until a top corner screw did the same thing making it impossible to resolve. No clearance to protect the vehicle paint finish. First attempting to drill the screw/rivet out did not work and eventually had to destroy the corner of the frame to take it apart. For a frame that is substantial, the mounting plate riveted thread inserts are much too delicate. The location on backside of an SUV is subjected to a LOT of road fallout. The chrome was out of stock and we replaced with the satin black and greased the new assembly thoroughly to hopefully avoid this trouble again. It really is a beautiful looking frame but wish the manufacturer would make the threaded rivets more substantial. 5 stars for looks - 1 star for mounting plate rivet weakness.

I have had at least 6 of these covers and they are wonderful. Not cheap and not for a cheap vehicle. But if you have classic vehicles as I do, they really set it off. A thief will probably give it a wiggle and walk away so as not to get caught. Make sure to keep the hex key in the glove compartment because if the plate is moved, you will need the key to take off the cover to re-tighten the plate and this cover. Very highly recommended.

Simply, the best there is. Have used these for over 20 years and they are easy to install, and gorgeous on your high-end auto. The frame/cover can't be stolen (easily) due to the special tool used to secure the frame to the sturdy cover. The chrome finish stands up to almost anything you can toss at it. Not sure if the chrome finish is still available - but if you can find it (anywhere) buy it - you won't be disappointed.PS you may have to trim the ends of your license plate slightly (easy to do with snips) to get it to fit inside the frame....

I first bought these for my 1987 Saab 900s, They are still on the car !! I recently purchased a 2019 Toyota Avalon and wanted something good looking for the front and back. These fit the bill, I hesitated at first until I found out that Beverly Hills Motor parts was sold and the people that bought it ran it into the ground. The original owners got it back and the quality returned ( I hope that the finish on the front of the Toyota lasts as long as the finish on the license plate frames. ( A note for others interested in these, put a dab of grease on hex screws before installing, helps to keep screws from rusting for future removal.
