Works for septic
Really works!! We bought 4 of these because our septic system was giving off bad smells through roof vent pipes, which is the right thing to do, but we just could not have a quality of life on certain days so we did a lot of research and found the vent hog. And let me tell you after installing I went up and put them on and two hours later I noticed a difference out side but was starting to get the smell inside the house so I went back up the next day and poured half charcoal in two units and left the whole bags in two units and Wow!!! Smell is gone!!

Worked great!
After spending $30k+ on an entire new septic system (tank & leachfield) the septic odor after installation was worse than when the old system was failing. Purchased this (3inch model) and installed it on roof vent pipe and smell is totally gone. I was skeptical this would work good but this was exactly what we needed. Wish I got sooner. Even called customer service with a question and they answered the phone after 2nd ring and were super friendly. Highly recommend if you have septic odor from vent pipe.

100% Works!
We had a terrible sewer odor with our small summer cabin. Our septic system is only 4 years old and I was getting frustrated trying to find out the problem. I finally figured out it was coming from the roof sewer vent pipe. We installed the filter on top, the sewer odor disappeared the first day! Incredible product. I would even pay double for it, it’s that good.

Was great while it lasted, but froze up on the first single digit day
It's pretty expensive for what it is, but it's a simple solution which works--until it gets cold. The manufacturer recommends the inline filter for cold climates, and I really didn't feel like climbing in the attic to cut the vent stack. I guess I'll have to do that. We're having a chilly spring after a tame winter in northern NH and it survived the 20 degree weather, but froze up on the first single digit day. This pushed odor into the house and affected the drains as you would expect. The good thing is it is black, so the sun should help thaw it out and it will warm up into the 40s next week. Come autumn time, I'll replace with an inline solution buried under the insulation in the attic.

OUTDOOR SEWAGE SMELL SOLVED
Purchased a brand new 2022 built home that’s about 1,500 sqft. We do have a brand new septic system and existing well on our property. However, I moved in during the warmer months, and as the temperature started to drop I began to notice a fowl smell towards the back of the home. At first I thought it could of been a dead animal in the woods or so, so I brushed it off. But the smell continued to come and go mainly at night time for an odd reason. KEEP IN MIND, I had no signs of a failing septic system (water back up in drain field, no indoor smells or toilet flush issues). A friend had came over and said for sure the smell is definitely sewage smell, so I narrowed down the smell coming from the 2 plumbing vents on top of the home. After contacting my builder he said there’s no way, that this smell could be coming from a neighbors yard (I’m not close to my neighbors septic field). But the septic designer did recommend a coal filter like this one but at first did think I sounded crazy explaining my issue at first. Purchased these bad boys and it was nice that it even came with an attachment for smaller PVC pipes( oddly enough both plumbing vents were different sizes). Super easy to install, they fitted snuggly over PVC pipes. NO MORE EMBARRASSING SEWAGE STINKY SMELLS AROUND MY HOME!!!. I love that there’s no more fowl odor immediately after installing this product. THANK YOU ODORHOG!
