Mil-Tec American M41 Jacket

I bought this jacket for my grandpa who is a WWII Army veteran. I was able to contact collectors in other parts of the country to also buy vintage WWII chevrons and a unit patch to recreate his field jacket he would have once wore. It was a Christmas present to him and was the best one he has ever recieved. Although not an original jacket, he couldn’t tell the difference. The material and craftsmanship of this jacket is identical to the original and is great material.

Light weight material. Enough room to layer with a long sleeve tee or sweatshirt inside--- without destroying the look. Repeated washings will yield a desirable fade. I'm 5' 7 1/2', 160 lbs. Short sizes aren't offered and had to settle with a 40 R. Hot water and hi heat tumble dry yielded some of the shrinkage I sought, but still had to shorten sleeves. Jacket length still remains an issue, but every day layering will lift the silhouette. I topped it off with a discreet blue and gold "Rangers" patch on left sleeve. I've recently become infatuated with the 1945 liberation period and this garment will surely fit the bill. For those interested, there are hours of film covering the liberation of Europe--- much of it now digitized and colorized, bringing the action up close to almost hi-def. Hard to believe those gum-chewing, Lucky Strike smoking, twenty-something GI's are now in their nineties !

Very cheaply made. Zipper is on the wrong side, lose threads everywhere. NOT the same as pictured. Will have to do till I can get a nice one from At The Front.

Living in Florida I needed a good light weight jacket. This fit the bill. Shipping was unusually fast for a overseas delivery. And I've seen the same jacket on sale for ten dollars more plus the cost of delivery. Does run a bit small so order one size larger. Over all I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

It was not as expected, from the picture. The product was not like any American fatigue jacket that I had. The material was flimsy and it was not delivered as promised. I plan to return the jacket. Please advise process for returningthank you

Man möge sich nicht täuschen lassen. M41 EM (enlisted men) ist eine Reproduktion jener Jacke, mit der die amerikanischen GI's 1944 in der Normandie anlandeten. Erstaunlich viele Leute erkennen dieses Kleidungsstück als historische Militärjacke, was an verschiedenen TV-Serien und Spielfilmen liegen mag. Mir persönlich ist das mitlerweile eher unangenehm. Die Jacke selbst ist top verarbeitet! Der helle Grünton gut getroffen, Innenfutter und Nähte einwandfrei. Nach kurzer Rücksprache mit dem Verkäufer (Marketplace) war auch die Größentabelle verständlich: Die Maße sind in Inch angegeben! Fazit: Klasse Teil, was für Kenner, man muss aber mit den Konsequenzen leben! (Nixdestotrotz: ich spare schon für die M43 ;))

I BOUGHT A GENUINE WAR SURPLUS ONE WHEN I WAS 13 AND WORE IT THROUGHOUT MY TEENAGE YEARS. THE NOSTALGIA VALUE IS IMMENSE! EVERY TIME I PUT IT ON I TAKE A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE.

Hi,The jacket was actually olive-army-green, both inside and outside, not as in the picture were you can distinguish two colors.Anyway, the jacket is great, the interior wool is soft and warm, and, thought it happened to be a bit too big for me ( I'm 1,87 cms tall and 100k weight and I chose the biggest size) has a nice 'fall' as we say in spanish, that is...looks great once you wear it.

Great product. Would have paid more for higher spec version.
