Fantastic product, works exactly as advertised
Fantastic product, works exactly as advertised. It'll keep my tea hot all day long. These days I've taken to brewing up a batch of tea before I go to sleep, and it's still nice and hot the next day when I get to work. Once I start drinking from it it loses the heat a lot faster (Every time I open it up it's going to lose heat, etc), but if it keeps it hot for 12 hours or so, and then keeps it reasonably hot while I drink it over the next 6-8 hours while I'm work, that's plenty for me. I also alternate using iced tea, and it keeps it nice and chilled just as easily.I tend to get thirsty a lot during the day, and I've found I often have a tiny bit left: about 1/2 - 1 "cup" (the small cup that comes built in) left when I leave work, so the 32oz size is perfect for me. It's a little pricey at the $30+ range, but I don't mind paying for quality on something I plan to use for a very long time.As a side note though I drink black tea, which is brewed around 200-210F, so if you're doing a green tea (160F or so) it probably won't stay as hot for as long, in which case you'd want to brew the batch up before you leave the house, rather than the night before, like I've been doing.

Probably the best travel mug brand out there
I currently own a Contigo western loop 20 oz travel mug, and it gets the job done with keeping my beverages hot or cold. The huge problem I have with it is that its "convenient" lid holds both smells and flavors. I am a huge fan of their autoseal lid, but they need to start using metal components or components that don't hold the flavor or smell of coffee. Sometimes I'll want to put Kool-Aid or other beverages in it, and they always taste bad when using the lid due to the aforementioned problem.Enter Thermos. Probably the default, most well-known brand of keep-your-beverage-hot-or-cold technology. I opted for the slightly larger 32 oz, but in theory I'd probably be better off with the smaller 16 oz. Although, according to the product page, the 16 oz is only two inches shorter than the 32, and its price is only about four dollars cheaper, so I felt I had to get the larger one.I'm in college, and I'm quite lazy. I wake up 45 minutes before class, take a shower, and off to class I go. I don't have time to make coffee. With this Thermos, I brewed some coffee the night before, placed it in the mug, added cream and sugar, and the next morning it was still steaming. Even hours after classes, a good 24 hours after like they advertised, it was still significantly warmer than room temperature. Granted, since I added creamer it cooled the coffee down quite a bit, so I bet if I stored the freshly hot coffee in this mug then 24 hours later it'd still be quite hot.My only tiny problem with this mug is how tall it is. The 32 oz is about a foot tall, so it doesn't fit in my backpack drink holder. I have to put it inside, but it's not a huge deal because this won't spill even if you try to, as long as the stopper is fully locked in place.I have yet to test this with cold beverages, but I'm sold. Thermos is the way to go.

Getting the best performance from your Thermos
I have used my 32 oz. thermos every day for over two years and it works great. It will keep my coffee hot for 10 hours.I read other reviews that state otherwise and I think I know why. If you put any hot beverage into a cold container the temperature will equalize between the two.The container will get warmer and the beverage will cool immediately. So you must put hot water in the thermos first and you must leave it in long enough to heat the thermos. I keep the hot water in it for a few minutes. I suggest boiling water is needed for a 10 hour usage or if, like me, you want your coffee steaming hot! Personally I use a water kettle to boil the water for the thermos (and my partner uses it for tea) I use the Capresso brand sold here on Amazon. I have not timed it but the water is boiling long before my coffee is ready. I see there are many brands of water kettle here and I am not endorsing one over another as mine was a gift. Other factors affecting beverage temp are how long the thermos is open during pours and how much air space is in the Thermos (a full thermos holds heat better.) I fill it at 7 am and have my last cup at 3 or 4 every day and it is hot! I read that others say it loses it's ability to hold heat after as little as a year. I have given two of these as gifts and the three of us are experiencing no heat loss after two or more years. A bottle brush is a good purchase for cleaning. Hope this helps

Great thermos for a reasonable price
I love this thermos ! It has the wide mouth I am use to, that allows you to drop in regular sized ice cubes to ensure a nice cold drink. It keeps drinks either cold or hot for a very long time. I left ice tea in it to see how long it stayed cold. After 16 hours it still had small chips of ice in it. After 24 hours the beverage was still cold. For both hot & cold drinks, it lives up to its claims. The thermos is well built, with a excellent weight to it. ( not flimsy). & the top cover functions as a cup when your on the go. This is a thermos , like they use to make them, not like the newer kinds that have tiny openings, no cup & gradually lose the temperature of a beverage far too soon. The price is excellent & you can not go wrong buying this thermos. I plan to buy more for other family members, so I highly recommend this product.

Holds heat pretty much all day
I fill it with coffee at 7:00AM and at 7:00PM it is not "hot" but is still warm enough to enjoy. On the down side, after about 4 years the inside is pitted and I have to scrub out the rust regularly.

Buen termo, buena compra
