I have recommended this for many of my patients
This is a quick and simple way to reduce tension, panic and anxiety. It uses slow, timed breathing. You can choose to use different sound cues to let you know when to breathe in and when to breath out. It is always nice to have non-medication ways to reduce anxiety.I heard about this technique at a scientific meeting at the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting. It has been tested in a variety of settings. They found it helpful in individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I was impressed, so I downloaded it and have recommended it to patients who are anxious or panicky. The technique is simple. You can load it onto your iPod or other mobile device. This download works well for adults and older adolescents. Younger children need to use a different breathing speed so this particular download may be less helpful for them.

Simple, I like it (I went with the download)!
This cd basically guides the listener through coherent breathing with a brief description and then three different tracks that essentially time the breath cycles for the individual making coherent breathing much more enjoyable and natural. It's a very simple four track cd but not bad for the price and I believe the creator intended it to be purchased along with his book, thus the limited info on the cd. As suggested in an alternative health book, coherent breathing brings me much more peace when I practice it along with the ujjayi breathing technique.

Works for relaxation and helps anxiety if you listen for 20+ min
I was skeptical about using controlled breathing to help manage my anxiety, but after 20 minutes or so I definitely felt a LOT more relaxed for the next couple hours. Unfortunately, if I only did it for 10-15 minutes the results were much less pronounced. Still, 20 minutes for some solid serenity is pretty good!

Great aid to coherent practice.
Like the timing bells. I find myself breathing to the timing of the bells when I'm doing everyday chores.Highly recommended. Great price.

Simple but powerful
This is a simple program for inducing relaxation and reordering brain habits. I've found it powerful, but not immediately -- it needs some time and repetition.It's worth the small price to buy this and try it. The real investment is the time to use it. It seems to require regular practice to keep up.

Excellent Meditation Aid
I got this CD after a attending a breath workshop where it was used. I use it as mainly as an aid to meditation. But I warn you, Track 3 (Two tone Tibetan bells) is quite addictive! I now put it on when I do yoga. And if I can't sleep. And if I feel stressed. Track 4 with the bell and ticking sound is also very powerful and really focuses one's attention on the breath.

Recording quality is great. Simple to follow and use. I have actually felt it quiet my anxiousness and my chatty mind. Especially if I couple it with my qi gong practice. Very satisfied.

Outstanding
If you give this technique some time the results are amazing. You can use it as an aid to meditation or simply as a way to counteract the symptoms of stress, anxiety or PTSD. To be honest you can skip the intro and just go to Two Bells, which I found more helpful than the clock and bell one.
