Pleasantly Surprised
I bought a set of Copper clad cookware and when I came across Induction Cooktop, I thought of trying it.It's clean and from the description & reviews, it has a lot of good, than bad features. Got it yesterday and put it to use. I did saute vegetables, mixed in some noodles. I was impressed by how fast it heated up and of course the clean way of cooking. Love it! and hopefully it holds up the positive attributes over time.

Send to be problem turning it on.
Pans are excellent. Cooktop is fine. One issue I am having is getting it to turn on. I have to fiddle with it to get it to start heating up. I have only had it a few weeks. I have used it probably 6 times. It might be me but the last two times I had a problem with it turning on.

Functions worked well; construction of unit not durable.
I have had this induction burner for approximately 2.5 years. Six months in, a crack on the left side of the frame occurred suddenly; a second crack occurred a year ago, on the right side of the frame. The performance was not affected until recently, when intermittent inconsistencies of performance with power and temperature controls occur. Concerned about possible electrical safety issues. Going to replace with double burner Nuwave unit, as once you use induction cooking...no going back to the stove! An customer of mine has had a single burner Nuwave unit for 8 years; still appears and performs like new.

I was extremely happy with this product and I had an excellent experience with the seller as well

Very small heating surface.
It appears hot in about 3 inches in the middle of the pan. All else is lukewarm at best. Returned.

Terrible craftsmanship on case.
Owned for less than 2 months. I used as primary cooktop. Product cracked after trying to cook on high, stained and will not clean. Overall the case is not made of good quality materials would not recommend for long term use.

Worth the value$$
Im old school very easy to use and the most important part of cooking is controlling the temperature and this is perfect.

Does not control temperatures at low settings
Temperature sensors, good ones, are extremely expensive, and cheap appliances don't use them. As a result your simmers will either overheat or just go cold. You will have to stand there the whole time pushing buttons to control any temperatures below about 170 for sure, and probably most of the warmer ones too. On full blast the unit will just stay on and cook fine if you're right there to attend to it. Otherwise, people get rid of burners like these for a good reason. Any old hot plate will work better than this for actual cooking not just heating up food quickly. That's all it's good for.
