Rubies Harry Potter Golden Snitch Costume Accessory

Using this snitch for kids party decor and with a few minor changes... it’s wonderful. I gave it a quick gold spray paint and and clipped slits into the wings (they’re just thin plastic wings) to look more authentic and also painted the wings gold. They are made of light weight plastic and will be easy to hang from a ceiling with invisible wire. You really can’t beat them for the price.

I'm giving this thing 2 stars because what should I have expected for a little over four bucks? My husband and granddaughter we're playing with this thing for less than 5 minutes when the wings started falling off. You can push them back in for awhile, but eventually the little nub wears down and it won't stay in at all. Keep in mind I've had this all of 3 days. If you do purchase it, I would recommend possibly taking a glue gun to the points where the wings connect. Perhaps that may keep them in longer.

We have held Harry Potter birthday parties for each of our kids on their 11th birthdays. We just had our last child turn 11, so with the last Hogwarts party came my last decoration purchase. This was a key piece that we have always been missing.It is small and lightweight. Some might call it flimsy, but it was just fine for what I needed it for. I drilled a hole from the top to the bottom and fed a piece of fishing line through. I used that loop of string to tie it off to one of the blades of the ceiling fan in the living room. On low and medium speeds the snitch glided gracefully around the room. The wings kept it flying forward in the right direstion. On higher speeds things got a little squirrly and it didn't fly as smoothly.It was a big hit with the kids at the party. As a bonus, it drove the dogs crazy, as they tried to chase the thing around the room, tripping over the coffee table as they made each loop.

I purchased several items from this company for a party and they are horrible!! I purchased this "golden snitch" and it looks NOTHING like the picture shows!! Mine is a brown ball with flimsy wings that are just gold stripes on plastic. Don't buy it if you're looking for a "golden snitch" prop.

If this was a flavor from Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, the flavor would taste like "disappointment". The POS isn't even gold. Wings are plastic with Made in China writing all over them. Wings popped off immediately out of the package. Expecto Dissapointo

Was literally broken on arrival. It's cute in theory, but it's so poorly made you should just save your money.When I purchased it was being marketed a car antenna accessory and the wings are barely held on so I can't imagine you could drive over 35mpg and expect them to be there when you get home. Beyond that the hole at the bottom is so small that when I tested it on my car antenna, it wouldn't even fit. Overall an inferior product. May be good strictly as a costume accessory.

I am very disappointed with this. I was looking specifically for an antenna ball and the reviews under this item were for an antenna ball when I bought it. Now there is a different set of reviews. This is cheap hard plastic and is more black than gold as though it didn't actually get fully painted. The wings are also hard plastic and it just has a small air hole - no way to even try to turn it into an antenna ball. It's not even nice enough to enjoy as a replica or a toy. Definitely suggest you pass on this one.

The snitch wasn’t all golden it had lots of black on it. And one wing was off so I had to glue it back on.The tag printing is on the wings instead of the ball which isn’t aesthetically nice because it’s so obvious. The ball is also larger than what it should be.Overall it looks very fake and I was bummed because it appeared to be a licensed Harry Potter product, I expected it to be more like it was in the movies.

This plastic snitch replica will be appreciated by Harry Potter fans. And its not expensive. But it has its issues. First of all I found it quite big, the size of a pomegranate. So it’s quite large and of a much larger scale than the snitch in the movies, where Harry for example accidentally swallowed one - I advise you not to try that with this one! Secondly, it’s made of thin plastic and therefore a little flimsy. Snitches are meant to shoot through he air, but when young children start to throw this one around, it won’t last long. Also because of its thin plastic sheet wings that are attached with a single pin. Therefore it might be more for display. But in that case the detail and paint (just gold) is somewhat crude and disappointing.So this snitch it neither this or that.

Bought for my smaller child who loves Gary P. This is a gold painted bit of polystyrene with some plastic film wings stuck in it. Looks OK in the box, but my heavy-handed offspring had it broke in about 2min. And it's not even properly magic. Might be OK as an ornament, but if you want this as an ornament - you're probably old enough to know better really...

Bought this as a gift to match some other Quidditch items. I haven't opened the packaging, but the snitch is a fair size.

Very good came on time

It is not advertised correctly its very miss leading its more like a very cheap lucky dip gift from a Christmas Market. Do not buy as gift for anyone. My 5 year old cried when he saw it. The wings came off in under a minute
