Great general use hose
Perfect length and wight to easily carry, roll, and throw it out without kinking (if you roll it correctly). No leaks, tight fitting, not heavy but the material still seems to be able to be pulled over rocks, sticks, and around brick corners without the worry of it getting torn or damaged. My second favorite hose outside of gilmours pro redish super heavy hose but it's not as easy to maintain and is much stiffer. Good value and surprisingly cheaper than buying from the local hardware or big box store sadly.

High quality hoses worth the price
My favorite brand of hose for the yard. This is my third one so far. I have one for the front, back and shorter one for extensions to wash the car... No kinks or problems. Though I did have to adjust the short one for getting into the hot water heater and drain it. These are very sturdy hoses. The length on this one was just right. No leaks either. Worth every penny. I had many of the cheaper brands and they broke just where the kinks are. Not these!

They just might be right- this may be the last garden hose I ever need to buy
As advertised, this is a fantastic, durable garden hose that resists kinking, stays pliable, and always remains easy to return to a coil. The build quality is outstanding, and I've already gotten several years of use out of it. The threaded fittings are heavy duty (by garden hose standards, anyway), and the material that the hose itself is constructed from is very tough. I wasn't thrilled with the color at first, as it's a bit different from the usual, but it quickly grew on me. With the trouble-free service this hose has given me, the thing could be florescent orange, and I would still use it! When you consider the price I paid for this hose (just over $25 with free shipping), this is easily a five star product. I've probably bought a half dozen junk hoses that lasted a year or two. Not only were they a waste of money, but they were incredibly difficult to use (constantly kinking, leaking from fittings, etc.), compared to this one. This is a no-brainer purchase for any home owner... you might pay a small amount more, but the returns are enormous.

Good Hose; Customer Service Came Through In The End
Edit: See below. The website form was to a company that no longer handled Gilmour warranty claims. I contacted Gilmour directly, via and email on their site and they honored the warranty and sent me a new hose (though I had to follow up with them a second time because three weeks had passed and the hose had not arrived). A LOT of time and effort but they did come through in the end. Five stars to one star to four stars. Original Review: I have a different Gilmour hose with a lifetime warranty which failed after a few years. I tried to contact Gilmour for a replacement, got directed to Fiskars, and after waiting five weeks they told me they were no longer associated with Gilmour and directed me to a Gilmour warranty site/form. I filled out that form and never got a response -- not even an acknowledgement that I had filed a claim. After a week I went back and filled out the form again, just in case I messed up my email or phone number; a week later and, again, nothing. I like the hoses, but this kind of customer service means I'll never buy another Gilmour product of any kind.

Very flexible in 60ยฐ weather
I bought flexogen because of the name and previous hoses had good performance, this one seems to be very well made, and I expect long life out of it. Good brass ends, and flexible and warm weather.

Buyer Beware
I've used a number of Gilmour hoses in the past, and I've been pretty satisfied. This one, though, blew my mind. I just hooked it up for the first time today. As soon as it was pressurized, bubbles were forming along the length of the hose. Within five minutes of use, a 2" gash blew out of the side about 6 inches from the nozzle end I have pretty good pressure where I'm at, but not anywhere near enough to blow out a hose in five minutes. Normally a hose lasts me a year or two, and that's sitting in very hot NM sun. (In case anyone is interested, no, it was not stored out in the sun prior to use. It has been in the shade until today.) To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I'm outside the return window, so I guess I'm just gonna have to eat the cost. Perhaps I just got one of bad batch, but I'll be thinking twice before buying Gilmour again.

Updates on a supposedly a lifetime guarantee hose
Last june or July of 2025 I had a garden hose failure. I tried emailing the company and phoning the company with no results. Finely in November when I was sending out Christmas gifts I decided to cut both ends of the hose and also include a hand sprayer that has split and send them to the company hoping that the right person will send me new one's as They're both a lifetime guarantee. With spring now here, The last week of march I decided I have three custom made garden hoses made for me with solid Brass ends because I've given up on ever receiving a new hoseAnd had really forgotten about them . Today, April 2nd FedEx delivered a large box which had my new hose and the new sprayer head. I just wanna know why it took five months and you're unable to talk to anyone. Once you file a claim they do not want you to file another claim because that'll slow things down which I didn't. Now I have enough hose to go around my house twice. I am very happy but lifetime guarantee isn't worth the paper it's written onOr at least it takes five months .

Good while it lasts, but doesn't last long
I purchased this hose almost a year ago now. I drained it after using it last fall, and stored it in the garage during the winter. This spring it looked good when I hooked it up. However, a month or so into this spring, I noticed it was very bulgy in several places. It also developed a pinhole leak in two places. I was using it today, and I thought I should write a review describing by experiences. It is a pretty good quality hose. The fittings are relatively heavy. The hose itself is heavy and feels like it is of good quality materials. However, it apparently has multiple layers which become separated with time. I have read other reviews that describe this same bulgy appearance. Mine is two to three times its original circumference. If you are going to purchase this hose, I would recommend keeping it out of the sun. I would also be careful to not not store it with water pressure in the line. It might last more than a year under those conditions. I probably wouldn't purchase this hose again. I would expect a cheap hose from a big box store to last as long as this one has. It does resist kinking, and is heavier than the average garden hose. I am still using mine, but it leaks whenever I do. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

Quality Product Plus +
Great constructed hose & well worth the extra cost above other hoses on the market for the same length of 50 feet. I watched a professional no nonsense right to the point market analysis which included this Gilmour hose. Eight hoses were tested through their paces. Gilmour came out on the top two for: construction, kinkage, burst factor & cost value. Finally... I found a great constructed garden hose that I'm positive, I will not have to replace every two years. Thank you Gilmour!!

The best around
I wish I has a dollar for every time I've bought 'the last hose you will ever need'. This Is the only brand/model I buy now. It is reasonably flexible, doesn't kink easily, doesn't weigh a ton, is strong, has very good fittings, and is fairly priced. The best all around choice I know of. And it's made in the USA (I think). But beware. There are others out there who use a deceptively similar name, and they're crap. This one is Gilmour, Flexogen, 8-ply. Remember that!

Very Good Garden Hose
Overall it's pretty good. Left it outside during this summer with multiple days of heat advisory and is holding up. Only con is that it is somewhat heavy and dragging it can be a small chore because it's not as flexible. But hopefully this means it'll last a longer time. Will update if anything goes wrong.

So good I bought another.
I really like this hose. Bought another one at Home Hardware 50% off sale. I usually have bad luck with hoses, but this one is great for not tangling, easy to roll up. The "no agro" is worth it in itself. Can you believe people are still buying the "self expanding and contracting" hoses? They should be called Self Exploding Hoses. Ha!

This is probably the best hose in the market!
Best hose ever! Bought one last year for my backyard so I give this another go for my garage and quality is just as high and I simply love it.
