Ghostek Exec Slim Card Slot Holder Wallet Case Designed for Google Pixel 3 XL - Black

This review is for the GhosTek Exec 2 in Black, for the Google Pixel 3 XL. I had been looking at this case for a while, but if memory serves, it was much more expensive right up until the Pixel 4 was released. I don't remember the original price exactly, but my impression is something like $40. I paid $13. For less than $20, this is a great case with an adequate wallet pouch glued to the back. I've been using the Exec 2 for about a week. I am careful not to stuff too many cards in the slot, and it holds the two credit cards, my ID, and a single coffee punch card securely and without fuss. It can be difficult to remove cards from the wallet slot, as there are no cutouts or any other considerations made to access the cards in the slot. I have not had a chance to test or otherwise experience the magnetic back-plate so cannot comment on its effectiveness.The texture of the material on the back of the case is a nice departure from the generic leather-like texture found on so many other cases. It's soft, shock-absorbing, and grippy. Unfortunately, GhosTek couldn't help themselves, and gave the separate backing for the card slot a generic leather-like texture. That's a demerit.The buttons are covered with hard plastic bits that are separate from the main body of the case and are simply inserted through cutouts in the case. This works well as long as the phone is in the case, but when the phone is removed, the plastic button covers fall out of the holes and are fiddly when swapping cases.The frame of the case is made of soft-touch plastic and the rim is rounded and smooth for comfort. It makes the phone less grippy though, so a minor gripe there. The frame is also very slick, so leaning it against something as a makeshift stand often results in the phone falling over. Not cool.This case solves the problem of leaving the house with your phone, but forgetting your wallet. In that, it performs admirably. It is not the most elegant and doesn't add much in the way of meaningful grip, and GhosTek opted for some materials I would have avoided. In all, this case is effective and convenient, but is not the end-all-be-all one might hope for.

Fits my pixel 3 xl phone very well. Originally I had a Google case but the case interfered with the metal strip to hang the phone. The metal card holder works great and my phone has not flown of the magnetic holder. The metal card holder does interfere with wireless charging. I don't use the card holder but it's good to know it's there if needed.

This review is left after almost 2 years of use.I got this case I think in mid 2019, and it has served me well ever since.The little metal plate is really handy; being an engineer/hacker type I've tried scanning my cards through the case and never could get a read. The plate can also be placed on magnetic stands (such as what would be placed on your car's dash) and will stick to it very well, without the need for the additional magnet most stands include.It finally fell apart today when I pulled it out of my center console and the card holder caught on the trim of my car. The metal plate fell off, but the card pocket and case is still intact.Over the last year and a half, this case has protected my phone really well. Being a tall, clumsy person I'd say I drop my phone more than Obama drops the mic in interviews and speeches. Despite this the case only cracked once and my phone and it's screen has stayed completely intact.I also was able to fit 7 cards and a stamp card in the thing by the end of its life.

I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Several issues. First there isn't a hole for the phone jack. Next the case is stiff and it takes a lot of pressure to use the Google assistant squeeze button. Lastly I purchased the case to hold my ID, my work badge, and a debit card. It holds it just fine but the pocket is stiff and hard. Getting the cards out of the pocket is clunky and required more force then should be needed. But it's durable if that is what your looking for.

Just got this product today and so far it has met my expectations. It has a slim design and still covers the screen in case the phone is dropped on its face. It has buttons on the side that look great and make it easier to adjust volume and press poer button. The wallet is able to hold all my necessities including my ID, debit, credit, and insurance cards. Cards are fairly easy to pull from pocket but the pocket is sturdy enough that the crada will not fall out. Phone feels sturdy within it's case although I will not be dropping it on purpose to test this feature. Charger is easy to access even with a slightly more bulky charger. I am happy with my purchase.

This is a great phone case. I have bought this brand for every phone I have owned. It looks great and is very handy. However, this one I received is much lower quality than usual, maybe the factory screwed up. I might have to swap brands. Purchase cautiously.

Looking for a phone case that has a wallet? That also has a metal plate for your car phone mount? Well if your looking for something that specific look no further. I can't believe how convenient this phone case is. It's durable, holds my cards so that I don't have to have my wallet on me in uniform, and I don't have to have that ugly metal plate that you glue onto your phone case. The value on this product is worth every dime and then some. I honestly believe that you you buy this phone case you will never be unhappy, and you'll never use and other phone case again.

I've had this case about 2 months and it's already falling apart. I work an office job. So, I'm not rough with this phone at all. The card holder can fit up to 3 cards and that is already pushing it. After holding 3 cards, you must always have 3 cards or else it will not hold on to 2. The frame around the value keys seemed to have chipped away and now the volume keys are gone and I cannot push the volume buttons on the phone now. The magnetic back does work quite well. This case would be perfect if it would last more than a few months and can hold on to your cards properly.

Great case for Pixel 3 XL. Deliver time was excellent considering COVID19 situation. Possibly a bit too much packaging (the greenie in me). Fits the phone nice and snug, no movement or sliding around. Material is a nice tactile feel, not slippery and not sticky. Side buttons and cut-outs are precise. Card holder on the back is great, easy to slide cards in and out but they don't slip out accidentally, somehow they are snug in there. Possibly the only design issue is the thickness of the case around the finger print sensor. It's not really an issue but if you are used to thinner cases, then it will feel a bit weird. But I understand the thickness help protect the phone so I'm ok with it. Overall excellent case.

Thick and protective for the phone. Value for money
