Rubbermaid Laundry Basket, 1.6-Bushel, White, Laundry, Storage, Bathroom, Bedroom, Home Closet Clothes Basket

They need to return to producing these iconic, simple, perfect laundry baskets that maximized the space because of no weird curves or handles. Their website says they stopped production in 2022, unfortunately. I wonder how difficult it would be to start those molds back up again??? I know I would buy some more!

I bought 2 of these. Had some several years ago and really liked. . So far they have help up very well. I thought I had wanted larger baskets; but found them difficult to manage when loaded and going up the stairs. If possible,I will only buy Rubbermaid as before. The Sterilight baskets did not last well and don’t like Sterilights other products either.

I love and need the lighter weight, yes "durable enough", baskets. These fit in our linen closet and will replace the 35+ year old ones that I've had and used constantly. Yes, they are not supertough like some of the newer baskets, but to me, that seems obvious via the pictures. They were just what I was looking for (and try finding them somewhere else...not likely!). I'm just so glad I could find these. Cheap? no. But considering my originals were from the 1970's, I'm a happy camper!

I bought these because I need inexpensive and smallish baskets to tote laundry around in. I got what I paid for. They're inexpensive (but not cheap) and smallish. They appear to be well made, and they will do the job that I need them to do. I can't find these things anywhere in the stores because it seems the trend is to make big, bulky baskets and big & bulky isn't what I want. These are perfect and the price was right.

I thought I was getting two baskets because there are two in the picture. I should have questioned that I guess, but I didn't see anything telling me different. I have had several of these baskets for many years, purchasing more as needed. It is so nice that they all nest together so well. A couple of the baskets have started to crack at the top on the long side. It is due to me trying to carry it against my hip. That pulls the sides in and causes them to crack. Some other brands of baskets are sturdier and don't have that problem but I have been committed to using these because they were reasonably priced and I could have several. Now I found they are not reasonably priced at all. If you are careful with them they will last a long time and they are so light to carry around.

Replacing same product bought years ago. This is a good product but is much lighter so not sure how durable it will be?

I used to be able to buy this type of basket in stores. But it seems like all the ones in stores are cheap and disposable. I have had similar laundry baskets for over 20 years. Would highly recommend.

I don't know if I'm hard on laundry baskets or what, but I break them easily. So far, this one has held up. The handle area is flexible and bends in compared to other baskets that are more rigid. The handles are smaller than others, so it can be hard to get a good grip, but as long as it's not breaking and pinching my fingers, I can manage.
