Tune and adjust performance on a color touch screen Performance Programmer The Trinity's tuning options vary depending on the vehicle that is being tuned. Gasoline-powered vehicles feature tunes based on minimum octane ratings while diesels are based on horsepower rating of the particular tune. No other single part number can tune Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles and support gasoline and diesel vehicles for all three. Note: The available tunes and adjustment options may not be the same in all models. Diesel Tuning For all of the supported diesel applications, the Trinity will come preloaded with at least three tuning levels to optimize your truck for its intended use. Towing: Will improve power by 40-60 HP and an average of 100 Ft/Lbs of torque (depending on application) and is for use when towing heavy loads near the vehicle's factory towing capacity. This setting is designed to increase drivability while towing, net extra economy when cruising at highway speeds, and is helpful when pulling a load up a steep grade. Economy*: Adds between 60-100 HP and 180-200 Ft/Lbs of Torque, with economy gains averaging 2-3 MPG on the highway. This setting is not designed for heavy towing--limits are in the range of 6,000-8,000 pounds depending on your vehicle's stock towing capacity. Extreme*: This tune adds anywhere from 100- 185 horsepower and 220+ Ft/Lbs. of torque and is specifically for tearing it up at the strip. *For these tunes, DiabloSport highly recommends the use of an aftermarket cold-air intake (CAI) and upgraded exhaust with a minimum of 4” diameter pipe. Gas Tuning For all supported applications, the Trinity comes preloaded with tunes for premium (91 or 93) octane fuel that will increase power levels at the rear wheels by 15-40 horsepower in most applications, with similar gains in torque. For many of the supported cars and trucks, 87 Octane Performance tunes are also available, as well as DiabloSport's 87 Octane Mileage Booster tune for late-model GM and Chryslers. For some applications, there are also specialty tunes for certain upgrades such as cold-air kits, MAF sensor upgrades, or even pulley-upgrade tunes for factory-supercharged vehicles. The advertised horsepower gains are with vehicles in their factory configuration (unless otherwise noted), but the Trinity can also be loaded with up to 5 custom tunes to support just about any modification imaginable. The Trinity is the only tuning device you will ever need for your car or truck. The available adjustable parameters menu can vary by vehicle, but for most gasoline applications the Trinity can adjust: Spark Advance/Retard (in multiple RPM bands, or "globally" across the whole range) Fuel Tables/WOT fuel (also in multiple RPM bands, or "globally" across the whole range) Cooling Fan control by temperature Idle RPM Mass Air Table (Ford) Raise Rev Limiter Raise Speed limiter Shift Points by RPM/MPH Shift Pressure Virtual Gauge Monitor/Data Logging The Trinity interprets streaming data received from the OBD-II Diagnostic port on your vehicle and converts it into a readable format: a Virtual Gauge. The graphic gauge display can be customized by the user with numerous gauge styles and page backgrounds. There are hundreds of possibilities. Programmable LED Shift Light/Warning Light The Trinity's LED warning lights can be configured to act as a visual gauge alarm for any individual piece of data, or even as a programmable shift light. Dash mount included Analog Input The Trinity can even log and display information that your vehicle's ECU isn't set up to monitor. The T-1000 is fitted with inputs for two auxiliary sensors to log and display even more useful information. Some of the choices could include wideband O2, EGT (see related products section for our kit), boost pressure, etc. The Analog input can also be used to control an Extreme PowerPuck directly through the Trinity's touchscreen. Diagnostic Code Reader Trinity can also be used as a diagnostic code reader. You can save hundreds of dollars each year by reading/clearing your own computer codes rather than paying a dealer to do the same. This function can be used to pull all engine-related trouble codes. Automatic Online Updates The latest revisions to the DS Downloader program have made updating a Trinity as simple as possible. With the Trinity, the update procedure is a simple matter of downloading and installing the current version of the free DS Downloader program from our site and plugging in the Trinity. Once connected, you enter your information to register the tool, and the DS Downloader takes care of the rest automatically. What's in the Box? Couldn't use.
Flat out, couldn't use the item. When I opened the shipping packaging, you could tell the item packaging had already been cut open once. I did what you were supposed to do and inserted the accompanying disc first and followed the instructions. Once you get to the part where you connect the tuner to the computer, everything that was supposed to happen didn't happen. I contacted DiabloSport and was told that "you don't have to connect every tuner to the computer first that a lot of them can now be used right out of the box." Not sure about that but ok, this isn't the first tuner I've used from them btw. So I took it out to my truck and plugged it in only to find out, it has already been used once. Even though it was sold as "new, unopened".

Don't waste your time or money
Sent it back. Customer service is terrible and gives you the run around. Spent additional money thinking something was wrong with my Neon Srt-4 when in reality it was the Diablo. Customer service is rude and just tries to get you off the phone... That's after you wait 30 minutes for a representative. So you end up calling back again to get another rep that gives you conflicting information. Been going through this for almost a month. Tunes made the car slower and fall on it's face at 4k.

Overpriced toy for enthusiasts.
I liked that it was functioning and I really could change some (few) parameters in my cars ECM. What I didn't like was the fact that I got a gimmicky gadget in an 90's game boy housing with a useless touch screen. Low resolution graphics, a flashy GUI similar to a "click here" popup offered on questionable websites. I paid $500.- and was expecting some quality hard ware to say the least. The T1000 -as well as other tuners- connects to the OBDII port with a cable (Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep), in an age where nobody buys a cell phone or car without Bluetooth/Wifi connectivity. The unit is customized for certain vehicles and one would expect it to be able to read all OBD codes as advertised, yet it can access only basics that you get from any $20.- code reader. For advanced codes like transmission, ABS, accessories, TPMS,..... go to the auto parts store or dealer ship, one of them will tell you for free. The Trinty Dashboard tuner comes with a wind shield mount... and the challenge to rout the heavy duty cable from the OBD port across the dash if you really want to monitor while driving or if you want to show off that you can afford one. For $500.- one must do a lot of parameter tuning or upload custom tunes -available for extra cash- before this "investment" pays off because diagnosis is lacking big time.Made (assembled) in China.

Unit would not update software when attempting to connect to their site/server
I followed the instructions exactly multiple times on multiple different computers and I always got the same error. If you go to their website (as they list it from the software provided) it looks nothing like the website they show on their installation video. I'm thinking they dropped support for the TrinityI after the TrinityII came out? Options from the video are no longer available and after seeing over 50 pages of people having issues with this unit, I decided it wasn't worth my time/money.

The unit works great, had it for several years now
The unit works great, had it for several years now. First I married it to my 2009 Dodge Charger and had a custom tune written, then I installed it in my 2013 Durango RT, now it's installed in my 2009 Colorado turbo project.Onlu problem: On my Durango I changed tire size information and the diablosport caused my truck to throw an ABS code, Diablosport didn't do anything(turns out it's Well known problem) about it and I had to pay(not cheap) Dodge to reset the ABS ecu.

Over priced and more of a hassle to use.
Definitely not what I expected. First off do not bother with the cd that has the software because after I installed it and 30 minutes on the phone waiting for tech support I was told to uninstall everything and go to the website to download latest software. After I did that I was finally able to mess around with the setting and see what this could do. I first installed the fuel economy tune, its garbage truck ran like crap. On to the next, Diablo tune, this was nice improving throttle response and turning off AFM it felt like a different truck with firm shifting. I decided to keep this one installed. I went to the monitoring option and 1 of the kept giving me an error and would not open. Tried to do a chat with Diablo and was told to call tech support AGAIN so I do. I get a automated response saying 8 people ahead of me that point I just hung up. I went on amazon and ordered the I3, says it does mostly what this one does with less effort. I will be resetting this tuner to stock and send it back. Also there is no wire to wire it to an accessory fuse like other tuners that are meant to stay on the dash, just google DiabloSport trinity battery drains.
