Great product ...looks good and works well to avoid waste.

I love this bucket. My horse wasted her expensive supplements, tossing them around as she flipped traditional buckets and pans while she played with her food or jammed the supplements into gloppy messes in the creases. Aside from the expense and waste, she wasn't benefiting from them as much as she should have. With the Little Giant Bucket, she wastes almost nothing. She can't flip the bucket into the air because it's pretty heavy and very stable. It's interesting that since she can't play with the bucket any more, she now eats quietly and seemingly more contentedly. Her bad behavior before may have been from frustration at being unable to reach all the food. Like other reviewers, I also wrap the loops on the metal handles with duct tape to keep them from catching tail hair or causing scratches to eyes or face. I use the colorful patterned tape to keep it less industrial looking and make it easier for barn staff to separate my bucket from the rest, but this bucket is not unusual in needing that precaution. Most of them do. Unfortunately for me, my horse still likes to chew on the bucket when she's bored (my barn leaves them hanging in the stalls) so I'm having to replace it after a year because of a large crack in the hard plastic. That's not the fault of the manufacturers. I'll replace it every year if I have to, because I'm easily saving the cost of the bucket in lost supplements.

This product is NOT recommended! The hook attaching the handle to the bucket is left open, creating a DANGER to your horse and/or tack. We purchased these buckets and our horse's blanket got caught in it twice, resulting in two torn up blankets. Our friend's horse got his nose caught and tore his nostril clean through trying to get free from the bucket. I have contacted Double L three times. They have not responded at all. I followed with a post on their Facebook page and photo of the torn blanket. The post was deleted and I was blocked. All I was hoping for was acknowledgement of the problem and resolution by replacing the blankets and buckets. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

These buckets are not safe. Where the wire handle bends after connecting with the plastic bucket, it' does not pinch shut. One horse at our barn got his nose pinched in it and ripped as he struggled to get free. My horse has got two blankets caught in this "unclosed pinch" and tore them both up. DO NOT buy these buckets. Called their company (Steve) bad bad bad service.

This product is amazing. My horse used to toss around her feed consistently, which created a huge loss financially and nutritionally. She no longer wastes food and is such an efficient eater. A 10 quart is a good size for the stall, and great to travel with. I highly recommend this bucket.
