Nice Damascus Knife
Was hesitant about buying this knife because it was priced at only $34.00 but I took a chance. Boy, am I glad I did. It is the real thing. Mine was straight and very sharp. The sheath is better than expected too. It's not a $500 by all means but for the money, you won't be disappointed. Would I by another one ? Yes I would.

Way above expectations
Honestly, I was floored with this knife. I was worried it wasn't going to be real Damascus as a lot of amazon sellers state that and in fine print they put "pattern" and its just laser etched swirls. This knife however is the real deal. The sheath could be better, but is adequate. The knife itsself is wonderful. Good weight, comfortable to hold. Came pre sharp and oiled. I can't wait to put it to good use. Would definitely recommend this knife, for the price, it's a steal

Cheap, play-around knife, good value
Admittedly, I bought this knife as a cheap, play-around knife. I do martial arts and wanted something that I would not miss if I broke it. I read the reviews first, they were right, the Damascus Steel is true Damascus, but had a serious slag-inclusion in the rolled edge of the blade. The blade warped to the right about 1/16". The blade slopes up from the handle, which is easily seen in the pics; it doesn't hurt anything, but I don't like the way it looks in real life. I am pretty sure the handle and finger grooves were designed for Kareem Abdul Jabbar. I couldn't stand it, so I spent a few hours on the belt sander, correcting the blade and handle. I refinished the blade in an acid bath. What I ended up with is a very workable, all-around knife; the slag inclusion was only surface deep, the warp ground out, leaving a 1/8" thick blade, I leveled the blade spine, and took the finger-grooves off, leaving a thin, but workable handle. It sharpens well and I have yet to be able to break it, even chopping or shaving pieces of wood. I will post a picture later.

very soft steel
worse knife i ever bought. looks great, very nice wood and the leather sheath is well made. The steel is garbage. its softer than pot metal and will not sharpen, not to mention holding an edge. i was dumb enough to buy 3, i wish i can return it, but its too late.
