Tobin's Spirit Guide: Revised 2016 Edition

A nice book, and a conversation starter, especially between Ghostbusters fans :) This book, is much better than any of the other coloured, covered versions of the same title.I own both, the coloured cover versions Red/Green are illustrated, and cover only, those seen within the Ghostbusters mythology, from the movies to the cartoon series.The above title, is an A-Z of spirit or at least, the names people have come up for them, within the paranormal community, in reality.This is in no way, an exhaustive list but in my opinion, it's a more fact based book than, the other versions!If you believe, any paranormal activity to be factual that is etc...I'm sure, you'll be happy with this book.

Overall, I really like the book. Being able to hold, read and reference to a book mentioned so much in the Ghostbusters medium is very cool to have! It's a great conversation starter and has a lot of information about the various spirits, deities and overall paranormal. However, this book would have greatly benefited from a proof-read and spellchecker. From beginning to end, there are a multitude of spelling errors and sentences that just purely don't make any sense. It really detracts from the reading of the book when even quotes from people like Stantz and Venkman who are born and raised Americans have multiple spelling errors.

PROS:1>the information is fascinating, and an interesting read.2>looks cool on the shelf! specially for a ghostbusters fan3>theres a lot of information4>easy to find things, since the book goes A to Z and even starts off with an introduction by ghostbusters.5>I love the joke that this book is from ghostbusters 3 in amazons advertising, since that's officially the videogame, and the books nothing like the ps2/wiis spirit guide(since the 360,ps3 and pc versions of the game are a simple list as apposed to actual page entrys of the ps2) save for a mention under the gozer entry.CONS:1>this has not been checked, even with words spellchecker because there are a tonne of mistakes everywhere and even missing titles and namesbasically, this book is a grammar Nazi nightmare.2>sometimes the missing information and typos really, really does get in the way. tobin really needs more writing lessons.3>while I am happy theres information, theres no pictures and no information for what some of them look like, despite some entries being from the cartoon and the show and the now lost internet PDF page having these things(I say lost because the remaining areas you can get it are virus filled)REVIEWER CORRECTIONS FOR EVERYONE ELSE: people are saying this book is religious focused or religion based but if you actually read the introduction it tells you that tobin lived in a time when these things where prevalent, and having read the book its not that bad, they are mentioned here and there but its mostly "ectlah did this, his father ecteth fought that" in some of the entries.so yeah, ignore the religion point on some of the other reviewers who clearly didn't read the intro.

Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors are rife throughout this book. Those issues make it frustrating to read.

Great little book for fans of the old ghostbusters films.
