The Slim Armor case for the Galaxy S5 provides complete all-around protection while maintaining a slim profile. The double layers of rubberized TPU and hard polycarbonate provide protection in a form-fitted design. The smart design features exact cutouts for unhindered use of the camera, heart rate monitor, and speaker.

Excellent case for the Galaxy S5
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone and wanted a case that both fit and protected the phone, looked good, and did not add unnecessary bulk to the phone's profile. After doing a lot of shopping on Amazon I decided upon this case after reading its reviews. I am happy to report that the case appears to meet all of my needs. It attached to the phone without any problems (even after I installed a screen protector on the phone) and fit perfectly. All of the ports and buttons work great. The charging port is slightly more difficult to get to (and it was, for me at least, anyway before I attached the case), but the case doesn't interfere with charging the phone. The color of the case is really nice and its texture is complimentary. I can slip the phone into my pants pocket without any trouble at all.I am very happy with this case and would recommend it to others with an S5 phone.

Beautiful, but flawed
Spigen has put onto the market a rather slick and beautifully designed case to help protect my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. It's amazingly easy to put on in comparison to the Otterbox Commuter case I had purchased for my previous phone the Samsung Galaxy S3. It's also slim fitting and light weight. It adds very little bulk and weight to my phone yet the case is sturdy and firm enough to make me feel secure that my phone could withstand a reasonable amount of punishment if dropped. One extra plus is that this case does an exceptional job of covering up a majority of the hideous plastic chrome that surrounds the edges of the Galaxy S5.But with that said, as an owner of this case, in my mind I find it has at least one major design flaw. That flaw is that this case does not have enough grip for me to have a secure hold when holding my phone for use. The outer case is a little too slick for my liking. I've already had my phone slip out of my hand a few times. Luckily I've only dropped it onto a leather couch, bed, and from a drop of about 3-4 inches onto my computer desk. And of course, my phone survived. Really, what wouldn't? But what good is the case that is meant to help protect the phone if it is also part of the problem? Adding some ribs or ridges to the edges for my thumb and fingers to help grip onto would have been good.I may still end up using this case, but in the mean time, I have already purchased a different case for my phone to try out. This is a decent phone case, especially for it's price. It would have been nice to have it come with a screen protector, but it didn't. Oh well, I hope this review helps out.

High quality materials and construction, but...
Case construction: 5 starsThe case maintains the phone's slim profile. Although I have no intent on testing its protection claims, the high quality materials and construction gives the case a solid feel and I'm confident that it will protect the phone, at least from a minor drop.Case grip: 3 starsMy biggest concern is the hard exterior cover. The dimpled surface maintans the S5's original look, but it's hard plastic and SLICK! The dimpled surface doesn't aid grip whatsoever. With increasing screen sizes, most smartphones are getting bigger and more difficult to hold securely during one-hand operation. This cover doesn't instill a lot of confidence that it won't accidentally slip out of my hand at some point. I have decent sized hands, so if I lack confidence in the case's tactile grip, good luck to those with smaller hands. If you purchase this case and fall into the "smaller hands" group, it's in your best interest to make sure you always have a firm grip on your phone. If you're distracted or operating your phone absent-mindedly, there's a good chance you will eventually drop it.

Good protection. Sleek. Still easy to pocket. Works with glass screen protector.
I am notoriously bad when it comes to abusing phones. My previous device (A Galaxy S4) was a Frankenstein phone by the time I replaced it with this new Galaxy S5. Multiple screen replacements. Internal parts replaced due to a nice warm bath in a salt water hot tub... lots of drops... Part of the reason for the screen damage was that I had an extended battery in th ephone, which not only increased the weight, but also didn't allow for a good protective case. When I DID have a case on the S4, I used the Otterbox Commuter Series because of the form factor and protection and I am a huge fan of otterbox, so that is my point of reference.I really like the way the Slim Armor case feels on my S5. It is still very slim but also quite solid. I've dropped the phone once on concrete from waist high. it resulted in some slight dings to the edge of the case, but so far so good. The interior rubber shell feels much more firm than the otterbox rubber. I still feel the otterbox commuter may be a slightly more solid protection, but the Slim Armor is solid and more sleek (at least compared to the S4 Otterbox commuter case).I also purchased Anker tempered glass screen protector, which works just fine with the Spigen Slim Armor case on the S5Even though I am
