Spigen Neo Hybrid Galaxy Note 3 Case for Galaxy Note 3 - Satin Silver

I bought this case about 6 months ago and encountered what may be one of it's main weaknesses. On the bottom of the case, where you plug in the USB cable the wrap around portion of the case is very thin. It has two very thin parts above and below the USB port which makes a rectangle. This section broke first on the top, then on the bottom. This wrap around part is actually essential because some of the corners are open without it. Because this is broken, the case ls nearly useless.Now, this IS a nice case and I really like it, but now I need to find another case. I'm not sure that I'll stick with the same type of case (rubber with plastic wrap-around), and I may double think going with a Spigen case unless I can find one that doesn't have this weakness.I've given this a 3 star because of this issue. Sure, some people may just want to get a new case anyhow after 6 months, but not at this price. At this price, I would expect the quality of the materials to be a bit better and the product to last longer.

Great case! I have been using this for a while. The case is nice. A little slippery due to the rubber like back. It catches oil and grease so it a pain.I knocked out of star because the case do tend to snap of the phone a lot while in my pocket. The volume and power rocker is not as firm and does feel loose. I dropped the phone couple of time and it withstood the impact from cement and gravel so it's good but scratches on the plastic outline is noticeableTo install it was a little tricky you need to read the instruction. First you need to put the rubber (TPU) on first then align the "polycarbonate" in. The "polycarbonate" seem like plastic to me. If you have it out and do a stress test it feels like it can break easy but in combination with the TPU it strong. If you don't align it right it will kind of cut off the side of your case and doesn't flush right (see attached photo of the edge).Overall: People would ask me "What phone is that?" Because of the case. Don't get me wrong it's a nice case and turned my phone into basically a new phone. But there's some issue they might need to look into but good price for a good product,As always thank you for reading my review. If you find my review helpful please up-vote or like.

This is my 4th case for my Galaxy Note 3 (I REALLY like to switch things up... a lot), and my second Spigen case (the first a window flip case with auto-wake feature). I really do like the apparent effort Spigen makes to ensure that the case looks elegant, while staying functional and fairly slim. This Neo Hybrid case (Satin Silver) has to be one of the best looking cases I have yet purchased for my Note 3.In light of the hundreds of reviews for this case, I'll keep this review minimal.PROS *The case PERFECTLY fits the Note 3. Every port, opening and button is perfectly aligned and accounted for. The case looks like it could be a standard Samsung OEM case * The case is fairly light. It doesn't seem to add too much weight. The weight it does add, I feel, lends to the wonderfully solid feel of the entire phone and case setup * Protection. Because of the softer (rubberized?), inner lining of the hybrid case, I really do feel that my phone would be protected in the event of a fall. Not so much the outer band though (more on that later). *Looks. I can't stress it enough, but the case looks really good. It's got that minimalist elegance that so many products try for and fail on. *Buttons. Unlike many other cases, this one has actual buttons for the volume and power and not just raised areas on the outside of the case. This makes for solid button presses. I noticed the volume buttons are raised slightly more than the power. This might be because we use the volume up/down way more than the power button, so the power button might be slightly lower to minimize unwanted presses??? Not sure, but in any case, I like the feel of them.Sadly, most products have a few cons/minuses, and this case is no different. I did not deduct any stars for the cons, as I don't see them as deal breakers whatsoever.CONS *The plastic band that runs around the edge of the phone (various colors). While I think it does indeed add to the nice look of the phone, I don't think there is much functional protection there. The plastic band is thin and flimsy and, I would almost imagine, prone to possible breakage if dropped one good time. When I put the case together, I took a good look at the plastic ring to see what it was made of and how strong it is. While not severely disappointed (I mean almost my ENTIRE Note 3 is made of plastic), I would almost have preferred aluminum or something a little more rigid and premium feeling. I know plastic is good because of its durability, but for ME, metal would have been nice. *Assembly. I read a lot of reviews here where some were complaining that it takes a LONG time to get phones into the case. I never had a problem with any other cases and figured, eh, this one can't be too difficult. Well, it took me a couple of minutes to get the phone in the case. I tried it as separate pieces and I tried it as one piece. Took the same amount of time. I think a lot of this time was taken due to the fact that I was so unconfident of the plastic band being able to bear up under the pressure of getting it either on the case with the phone in the case or getting the phone into the case with the hybrid pieces already assembled. Regardless, after a few minutes, the phone was in the case, both ways, and everything stayed in tact.All in all, this case is excellent and the price pretty good for what you are getting. I'd definitely recommend it to others....

This is an absolutely beautiful case. Ordered in yellow. Arrived in less than 48 hours. Fits case wonderfully. Nicest case I have ever seen however......I will not be able to use it.Here is my experience. Within 30 seconds of putting it on the case slipped out of my hand and onto my lap. 10 seconds later it did it again. I am a women with small hands but even coming off of my iphone a few weeks ago I was still able to handle my new Note 3 with 1 hand for 75% of my tasks which has be a joy. Even though this phone does not appear to add bulk it absolutely made a huge difference. More to the point it is like a bar of soap. The black rubber has no grip whatsoever and even though it looks like other rubberized surfaces it is surely not. It is almost like they tried their best to make it as slippery as possible. When I hold the phone in one hand and attempt to move my thumb the phone just drops from my hand as if I'm doing it purposely. There is just no way around it, no matter how I try I can't stop it from sliding right down my forearm like an SNL skit.Unless you have very large hands I would not suggest using this case. If you are an absolute 2 hand user it may work great but even with that I would be weary because it is slick and dropping it is IMO unavoidable regardless of hand size. I will keep it for dress up but really it is a waste of money for me. I bought the Spigen Slim a few days before and that is also nice but does not offer enough protection for me. The slim fits perfectly. Still allows one handed operation the the rubberized plastic is grippy. (FYI, the Neo rubber is not rubberized hard plastic like the slim. It's rubber and apparently polished!)
