Ok just kind of boring.

Thai product is a joke. I purchased 2 of these and they're both broken...just 3 weeks after arriving. Upon arrival, I thought these were wonderful. What a waste of money!

Shorts out! No real volume control except for ridiculously high to medium to cant hear it! Not worth the money...sending back for a completely different item

Broke way too easy for the intended age group due to repeated button presses.

It has lights and sounds and the volume can be adjusted to accommodate any child (or parent!!) who does not like loud noises!! Honestly, this is one of the first features that I look for when *I* buy gifts for others. (And, if others buy my child a loud toy that cannot be adjusted, it usually "disappears" suddenly and ends up at the local women's shelter. Not even kidding!)The bug has so many different activities. First, there are lights, and with the remote control, you can change the colors or turn it off. This is absolutely AWESOME for little ones right before bedtime. It can even be left on to serve as a night light.The bug has different modes--songs (kids' songs--plus, strangely, one Christmas song), jokes, just instrumental and storytime.The one thing is that both the bug and the remote take batteries--AA and AAA. It is an awful lot of batteries for one toy, but honestly, right now this toy is my daughter's favorite toy, so I cannot complain.The bug is made of a sturdy plastic and it seems that it will pretty much stay intact for a long time and not pose any danger to any child.This is a great toy for a decent price!DISCLAIMER--I did receive this toy at a discount so that my toddler could try it out and then I could offer an honest review. I will update this review if my perception of the toy changes at any time in the next six months.

This product is a really cool toy for a little toddler! I bought this as a gift for my niece. I had to check it out to see how it was. It works with or without the remote. The remote and the toy take different batteries though. The toy takes AA batteries and the remote takes AAA batteries. You need to buy the batteries yourself because it doesn't come with them, like most toys. The toy itself is pretty neat though that you can get a nice starry light look on the ceiling from it. You can choose what you want on the toy (or remote) - music, stories, songs, what color you want it to show. You do have control over the volume. This toy is made of a hard plastic that seems tough enough to handle a toddler, like any toy should. Overall, I think this is going to go over well as a nice gift and I am happy I bought it.
