Re-introduced by popular demand. The original wooden Hedgehog House provides a safe habitat for hedgehogs in the garden. Suitable for hibernation, breeding and summer shelter. Made from solid FSC certified timber with screwed construction technique which gives strength and longevity ensuring the habitat can with stand crushing or strimming. The domed roof is double skinned for insulation and weather protection, whilst the raised timber floor keeps damp out. A specially sized entrance porch allows the hedgehog in but deters predators. The house has a hinged door at the back for annual cleaning or inspection of sick or rescued hedgehogs. The house may be cleaned (if unoccupied) after winter use. (Late-March to Early April) Siting Locate the hogitat within cover out of the prevailing wind. Pile leaves or foliage around the house to further camouflage it. Place cut short lengths of dry grass or leaves inside as nesting material Maintenance The Hedgehog house is made of slow seasoned durable timber which does not require any further treatment such varnishes or stains.

Well made and sturdy but not v practical.
Seems well made. Access panel at back is no use in reality other yhan for vkeaning/disinfection after hogs have vacated. I rescue hogs and look after hogs after treatment & pre release...you cannot check on hogs via the panel at the back and nor is it big enough to safely remove a hog via the access panel (to weigh etc).

Arrived very quickly
Product arrived very quickly, well packaged. It seems very sturdy and was as described. As it's only just been out in place I can't comment on its durability but it certainly looks well made. Good weight in it, solid wood and the roof double layered to insulate & protect.

Solid Oak Hedgehog House
Its a well made product - very well made and it comes ready assembled. All I had to do was find a suitable, and sheltered corner of the garden and I put small animal bedding material inside and we have a hedgehog using it.

Disappointed
I bought this and put it in situ in the middle of September. By the end of the month it was being used, the other day I had a sneaky peak and noticed the felt liner had started to drop on the inside due I guess to water getting in through the roof even though it was well sheltered. Very disappointed as the hedgehog has now vacated his soggy home. I've contacted the seller to see if anything can be done about this and waiting a response.

Sturdy hedgehog home.
Sturdy well built house complete with instructions on how to encourage hedgehogs to use it. Easy access at the rear to enable cleaning.

Just the job,,,great product !
Excellent product bought it to my son's garden as he has hedgehogs....he loves it and it is in full use very good buy !
