I had been told all I needed to get my third generation iPod working was a new battery. I was not able to complete the replacement without the aid of a YouTube video and it still doesn’t work, and This wasn’t my first time replacing pieces on a micro circuit board like inside the iPod. Maybe it’s worth paying a professional because their might be other issues at play that are not letting your old Ipod work.

So far as I know, the battery is okay. But I've been unable to separate the case of my iPod using the provided tools, and the tools themselves have now become chipped from trying, and so they are never going to work. Had I known, I'd just have taken or sent my iPod to someplace that could perform the battery replacement for me. That's probably what I'll have to do now.

Battery never worked

It didn’t keep a charge. I had to buy one from a different company

Item was mismarked and was not for ipod 3.0 as advertised. Could not install myself had to send to expert for installation, spent an extra 52.00 to get correct battery and have it installed plus shipping. Would have to think twice about purchasing this item again.

Great price but doesn't hold a charge. Spend a little more.
