Great for the price
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas last year just after she turned 3. I loved that I could get a whole Barbie house for about $60 when the rest of the Barbie houses I looked at were $100+. Well my daughter loved it then, and I think that she loves it even more now, a year later. This gets played with every day along with all of her Barbies. It is great that it comes with so much furniture and cute little accessories. The other great part about it is that it folds up with everything inside, which makes it very convenient to carry the whole house, furniture, and accessories to Grandma's house. There are a few negatives about this Barbie house, which is why I'm giving it only 4 stars instead of 5. First, the walls of the house are cardboard. They have popped out of place a few times (which does come from having a little brother who doesn't understand how to play gently with his sister's Barbie stuff) and while I have been able to put them back each time so far, I can tell eventually they will give out and be unfixable. I'm not sure why they would make the walls cardboard instead of plastic (probably why the house is actually afordable). Also, it is very hard to get all the furniture and accessories into the house to close it up all together. They have to be placed in a very specific way, which my daughter can't do on her own. At home it is much easier to store all of the stuff in a separate storage container, but it is very nice being able to carry it all together when she takes it away from home to play.

Barbie Glam = Barbie Fun
My daughter wanted this for Christmas. I read previous reviews and decided it would probably be okay for a 7 year old. It is the cutest little house. Due to limited space, I am a big advocate of toys that can be put away easily and this one is all that. This house has all the "pretend" modern conviences of our day including flat screen TV, that your Barbie will enjoy.I didn't give this 5 stars because of the cardboard walls and small parts that a younger child could easily break. The age on the box says 3+, but I feel that a 3 year old might be a bit young. There are small parts that could easily be swallowed (and yes, I know some three year olds that still put everything in their mouth). All in all, I am glad I purchased this because my daughter loves it and plays with it.

Cute Cheapness from Asia to Amazon
Got so lucky finding this Glam Vacation House on Sale for my then 3 year old daughter back in 2011. Paid $40 for this house on here when Amazon had a "Deal of a day" never saw that price again. Happy I got it with "Prime Shipping". Since my and wife's childhood, Barbie legs do not bend now, no diamond ring, cheap plastic cars now and her home's have become pack up go style. This one is EXACTLY that style: You have these cheap little pieces that you can shove into this plastic home on the go! Easy to carry if you must travel with Barbie. Took 30 minutes to put the stickers on the plastic parts, snap parts together and play designer. Very cute set up for Barbie and my little girl to enjoy. Starter home for any parent to leap into before laying down the credit card into the "DREAM TOWNHOME" that looks like a NIghtmare to assemble! Face it, Barbie is no longer made the way she was in the 1970's-mid 1990's. She is a CHEAP Lady of the night now and so is her lifestyle parents. Mattel no longer cares for little girls. Truly shows in the products. Look for the "Deals of the Day" "Prime Shipping" with labels made in "ASIA" for sticking to MATTEL. Do not pay RETAIL for this house.

perfect for not having room for the big mansion
When I got this for my daughter, 3 girls shared a small room. There was no room for her to have the mansion, yet she wanted a house for her barbie. When I was a kid I used my mom's shelves and tissue boxes to make my own houses all the time. But I get why she wanted one. This is not super sturdy, but for my child at the time it was great! She is gentle with her items. If you have a rough and tumble girl, I would possibly think twice on this. It is just cardboard and plastic. But for my daughter it was great and it folded up easily and she loved that she could even take it into the living room and play with it while being around the adults. We love it! She now has the mansion, but honestly she played with this more then the mansion! I think it is because she could take it anywhere.

Perfect Barbie Travel House
Think of this as the perfect Barbie house for a child with a small play area or for travel. But, don't think this one is going to last for your grandchildren! Also, if your child is rough on toys, then this house is not for you.My daugher loves to open up the house and spread out the furniture. It makes the house area seem larger. She also loves to move the TV and chandelier around. She really likes the mix & match options this particular playhouse offers. I love the fact that we can quickly fold it up & clean-up.PRO: It's easy to assemble. Plus, all the added furnature & accessories are great. They make this Barbie house worth the money.CON: Not for kids who play hard or with "little brothers" who want to demolish girlie stuff.

Good Alternative to Big House
I bought this for my 7 year old because I did not want to purchase a large Barbie house that would take up a lot of room in my home. She was thrilled. She loves the fact that she has to set it up each time she uses it because each time she gets to set it up differently. There are many different alternatives to how you can arrange things and it encourages imagination. The only drawbacks to it is that it can be difficult for a child to put all the pieces back so it folds up easily. It's almost like a puzzle to get all the pieces in. It's also not a great toy for younger kids as they might lean on something and break it so better for your older children.

Brill first house
I really wanted my 4 year old daughter to have a Barbie house for Christams, but new to Barbie, did not know which one to buy....This is a fantasitc first house. It ticks everyone of my boxes...1) REALLY easy to set up.... literally only have to clip on a couple of items, such as the chandelier and the table...2) Easily storable... Brilliant... It is self contained... this is an added bonus for me..It all collapses into a carry box style house.... You can still see what it is but everything is together and as space is at a premium in most peoples homes (like mine with 2 other children, I needed something that could be put away into cupboards when not in use.3) Robustness (I know this is not a real word) I was worried as people had complained that this was feeble and could break easily.. I can see what they mean, but I have to say I do not think this is a problem. The upper story is for the bed only and as long as the stairs are fully extended it is fine.. I have no problem 'trading' this flexible feature for the fact that it can be stored easily...4) I am also very happy to say that it comes complete with everything that you could need for the house to be played with immediately upon receiving... All the furniture and 'extras' kitchen bits etc.5) It is just the right size for a couple of Barbies/children to play with and not an intrusive size.A Massive pat on the back for me for instructing Santa to bring this house...Bargain price for a Barbie house and definitely well worth the money.

Belle maison ultra pratique

Barbietastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just received this morning. Opened it up and my goodness. You are really getting your moneys worth here. Its quite big to be fair but great that it folds away with all items tucked up safe inside. We couldnt afford the large barbie or princess houses or castles. For £39.99 this is absolutely ideal. The pieces that come with are cute and not too small for 4+ age. Yes as other reviewers have said the cardboard settings are a little flimsy but a 4+ year old should know to play carefully around things like this. There is so much t play with I ams ure they will not be bothered by slightly flimsy scenes. Looks fabulous and think my daughter is gonna love this for her 5th birthday. Just remember that the stairs need to go under the bedroom area to make that section sturdy!Great value, lots of accesories and stickers. Stickers have been put on by me as instructions are not that clear! But i had fun and it took me back to my barbie child hood days ;o).A must for any barbie fan, great price.Buy Buy Buy
