The covers are easy to install and work as advertised. We used them to cover 2 of the 3 heat/AC vents in the back room (just above the HVAC system) to force some of the output into rooms more forward in the house. Just trim to fit and they stick firmly to the metal vents, blocking the output.

Nice and strong. Fit into by air vent and is keeping us from freezing to death in the bathroom. It come with magnets you can stick to the wall for a stronger hold, but we didn’t need them. It stays just fine in its own.

I was not too sure how well this would work because I had tried to use a similar magnet that was not as strong, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't have iron vents, just the standard metal ones and they stick just fine. Even though there is a small gap due to the screws on the vent cover, it doesn't detract from the function in any way. It makes such a great seal that I can't even tell the air is running until I go to another area of the house. I didn't even need to use the magnetic sticker strips, but appreciate that they are included. If you are looking for something like this, I would recommend.

I live in an old farmhouse with some rerouted heating vents and not all of them are in ideal locations. I purchased these covers to block redundant vents (there are a total of five vents in my living room) and also to block a vent from a previous heating system that no longer functions, and was allowing cold air into the house in the winter. I had to cut one magnetic sheet to size for one vent, and I had to attach two sheets together for another (I knew this would be necessary when I ordered them). The magnets worked perfectly for not only blocking the excess air flow to my living room, but also for blocking the cold draft in our family room. They have helped me to moderate the temperature so that it's more consistent throughout the house, and not hot in one room while cold in the next. They are strong and holding in place as I hoped they would. They were a little more expensive than I would have liked, but effective. If I needed a product like this in the future, I would buy these again.

Unlike most other vent covers, this one adheres strongly to many metals and blocks air flow, as desired. I got these to cover up vents on the ceiling and the thin cover doesnt have enough magnetic strength to hold its own weight. It comes with additional magnetic strips for reinforcement but then that creates gaps in the seal.

This product worked well to cover my vents in an unused room. The magnet was sturdy and heavy and I have no doubt that it will last a long time. It took less than 5 seconds to put this on my metal vent. This product also included strip magnets just in case your vents are not metal.
