Blends easily
This is my favorite matcha powder because it blends easily in iced or hot lattes. The flavor is good for the price. It is not as bright of a green as other matcha that I’ve had but it mixes way better so I still prefer it. No clumps 🙌 (I do not even use a whisk).

Need a matcha whisk for this one!
This matcha didn’t quite dissolve completely without a special matcha whisk. I liked the flavor, but you really had to whisk compared to other brands I have bought.

blend well
This Matcha powder mixes well with vanilla ice cream. I had difficulty finding Green Tea ice cream so I ordered this which mixed well & served as Green Tea Ice cream.

Good Price and great for iced lattes! Just check the expiration date.
I bought this to make iced matcha lattes at home and it's great for that!! I use about a 3/4 tablespoon per 8 oz of milk and stevia as sweetner. It tastes just like Starbucks and it's SO EASY. The only issue is that both the bags I bought expire in Sept 2022, and right now it's Aug 2022. I'll probably finish one bag by then but def not both. It still tasted good despite probably being a little old. I plan on buying this again, hopefully when they get a new batch in that isnt almost expired.

Grainy Texture and Off-putting taste for Cold Matcha Beverage Drinkers
When you read my review please keep in mind three things which might not make this review helpful for you:1. I drink only cold beverages - I don't know why but I've never like hot beverages and my sister is the same. No idea why.2. I have strong taste buds-I have passed the taste tasters broccoli rabe test!3. This is a big downgrade from my last matcha purchase- Premium Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder - 1st Harvest Ceremonial HIGHEST Grade- I usually purchase so a bit of an unfair comparison (https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Japanese-Matcha-Green-Powder/dp/B0101A2FFQ/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1LG4WAGR1VFYJ&dchild=1&keywords=japanese+matcha+powder+ceremonial+grade&qid=1589987187&sprefix=japanese+matcha+%2Caps%2C146&sr=8-5)So let's get started. I started a journey to find a more affordable matcha powder because I was spending $24.94 an Ounce which is too expensive for a daily matcha drinker to afford. So I tried this brand due to recommendation from a youtuber and this was way more friendly to my wallet at $3.75 an Ounce! What a deal. But as that old adage says "You get what you pay for" and that was the case here. The texture and the taste were really different from my usual. Firstly, this product isn't nearly as finely milled as I would like which can be problematic if you are a cold beverage drinker. Lately my go to is the insta famous Dalgona matcha drink. My mixer could not get all those matcha globs out and I had to switch to a blender. I sacrificed creamy goodness for foaminess, but honestly I didn't really mind that much. Taste doesn't differ whether it's creamy or foamy in my opinion, just texture. Doesn't bother me, but it might bother you. What really did me in for this product was the taste. Since I am a cold beverage drinker, I use syrups to sweeten my drinks not sugars (obviously because it's not hot to dissolve sugar). I usually make a simple syrup with regular sugar so as to not cover or mask the taste of the matcha but to harmonize with it and take out the bitter sting matcha can have. Nope, didn't fix the taste. I blasphemed against the matcha masters and even used various Torani flavored syrups to help with the taste of this matcha. Nope, made it worse. I tried using artificial sugar syrup to see if the artificial sugar aftertaste could offset the taste of the matcha. Nope, I was sacrificing good old matcha taste to make this matcha work. I will finish the bag (at this point I've used too much of it trying to make it work so I can't return it) but I am definitely going to go back to ceremonial grade (which I didn't think I needed as I'm not making ceremonial matcha!). The plan is to find one that is cheaper because it's not so finely milled as that doesn't seem to bother me. It seems I am willing to sacrifice on many fronts to cut costs, but not on taste.

Keyword: CULINARY. Using this solely for baking
12/07/2020 UPDATE: A customer rep has graciously offered to send me a replacement, which I accepted and am grateful about the extra mile the company's taking. But after trying the replacement, my original review still stands... perhaps it's time for the company to visit the supplier source.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This product is very clearly advertised as CULINARY GRADE -- recommended for baking, concocting latte, and blending smoothies really... so I appreciated how it's not trying to be more than what it is. The design is a bit gimmicky, clearly a Western brand jumping on the superfood bandwagon. Some reviewers are expecting the matcha to be ceremonial grade, where you can mix it with water and drink it straight up... no no no, this matcha is too bitter, dull, and gritty-tasting for that. The matcha is not as bright and earthy as advertised on the pouch; it is duller with a yellow-ish undertone (kind of musky smelling when you open the pouch). So even for a culinary grade, there are better quality ones out there. Ideally to make this matcha work, you'd want to add enough milk, sugar, cream, etc. to lessen the bitterness and seaweed-taste. I've tried this for lattes but the gritty, seaweed-taste still overwhelms the lattes. But this matcha worked quite well for my cheese cake because baking often requires lots of other ingredients that will overpower the potency of this gritty matcha. If you want to drink high-quality matcha, be ready to pay more per gram and look for ones with brighter and smoother consistency. Good matcha should be savory, not too bitter and yes, even naturally sweet (without sugar) -- so stop expecting this from culinary-graded matcha, especially ones branded by non-Japanese companies.

Not as bad as I thought!
I wanted to give this tea a try after hearing about its wondrous properties but after talking to my daughter, who had tried it already (not this brand) I was a bit concerned about it. She could only stomach it in a smoothie, and even then could taste it, so I geared myself up to trying it in a latte or smoothie. Whacked some into a latte and eurgh bitter weird green milk! Decided to just make a straight tea with it, without milk, as I'm used to drinking strange herbal concoctions anyway. It was perfectly palatable, even though it did smell like grass (and not the good stuff either). I certainly feel more energised after drinking it.We are all different though, so if you're not an old hippy artist like me who has had numerous weird drinks, then you're probably fine making a tea with it; you can always put a bit of honey in if it's too bitter. Others who are not into strange stuff might be better off with it in a kale smoothie or something similar. I'm going to invest in more of this as it's cheaper getting it on Amazon than on the high street.

Energy boost
I have been mixing this into my green smoothie made with coconut milk. I definitely have an energy boost for about 4-5 hours afterwards. My exercise session is easier and I feel more alert. I have dropped one star as when you open or close the small pack there is a puff of air and you can see a small amount excaping and it is expensive. Also, I am almost at the bottom of the pack and I think it will be quite awkward to remove the last bit from the creases in the pack. I am going to try capsules instead.

The flavor is not good enough
I have to say that Maccha tea powder from Japanese shop is much better.
