PaascheAirbrush H-100D Single Action Airbrush & Compressor Package

This is the first airbrush I have ever used/purchased and I am very pleased with it. I used this kit to paint a guitar using polyurethane paint and I got far better results than I expected. Since this is my first and only airbrush kit I have nothing to compare it too, but I was able to get quality, professional looking results with no trouble at all.This kit came with everything I needed so all I needed to purchase was paint. The compressor is very quiet, easy to use and adjust. The airbrush is very durable and comes with 3 different tips. Setup was a breeze, I was able to start painting minutes after opening the box.I don't really have anything bad to say about this kit. Again, I have nothing to compare it to but I'm so pleased with it that I don't feel any need to purchase something a bit more expensive. If you're new to airbrushing then this kit is a good investment, especially for the price.

Well worth the money. Tank is extremely quiet. Used the airbrush to paint latex paint onto some cameras and the system worked great. Although this model has a water catch tank some still comes out of the nozzle if the operator does not purge the catch tank when they see beads of moisture on inside of cylinder. Allow pressure to built and then press and hold the purge valve on bottom of water catch tank for about five seconds. Repeat until the either you see the water moisture line slowly disappearing or until all moisture is gone. I prefer the second option as it gives more time to work before another purge is necessary.

Easy set up for a total beginner.Great directions.Used to spray firearm coatings and worked extremely well. Comes with everything you need, I did end up buying a longer air hose and a couple more glass bottles so I didnt have to stop to fill up, I could just pop off and spray.Not very loud at all, I used in the garage with door open..but not very noisy at all.

There aren’t any instructions for assembling or changing the tip and needle. Beginners such as myself will have difficulty. Thank god for the internet.

Excellent compressor and airbrush set! Runs quiet and steady. It's extremely adjustable both on the compressor and the airbrush, perfect for my needs as a cookie artist. Comes with great instructions. Perfect for beginner or novice.

Attached pressure regulator/wat9er trap, air hose and airbrush.Worked as described for several minutes.I then moved unit across the room to my workstation and plugged it in and it would not work. Motor never came on.Contacted Paasche and they are sending another immediately. I will edit this review on new units arrival.Update:New unit arrived and is working perfectly, no issues

Excellent quality. Feels very well made. Unfortunately, it was not well assembled. There was a small but constant leak that made use difficult. The filter was torqued on to the cap so hard that the brass fitting was cracked, right out of the box. Customer service was difficult to reach, and it was a straightforward problem, so I decided to repair it myself. When I attempted to remove the fitting, it broke off completely. It was in so tight that my first screw extractor broke off, and the second required my entire body weight and then some before it popped loose. Upon inspection, it was because they screwed the fitting in beyond where the cap was threaded... then kept going for another half an inch. With the fitting replaced, it works perfectly.Actual airbrush review: I purchased this to do solid one color coats on items that I'm restoring, not to use it for art. I've never used an airbrush before, though I'm familiar with the basics of a decent spray paint job. I read the instructions, tested it out on some cardboard for about 30 seconds, then dove right in. It is incredibly easy to use. My first project came out almost perfect. Control is simple, and use is intuitive. If you can use a can of spray paint without screwing up, you can get even better results with this kit right off the bat. If you intend to use it for art projects - the included lesson guide is worthless. It goes from painting dots and lines to spraying Rembrandt in about 5 minutes. From my limited experience so far, this kit seems like it should be perfect for learning art and detail work with - the quality of the paint seems much more important than any shortcomings you'll notice in this hardware.I would have given this package 5 stars if it weren't damaged straight from the manufacturer and other reviews (of this and their other models) that show it was not a fluke.
