Good for Crafts
I bought this brush for crafting and not pets. I used it to brush out yarn to make hair for my amigurumi. It worked well and did the trick. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic brush FOR LONG HAIRED BREEDS
My poodle loves this brush so much she falls asleep while I groom her. It's a solid brush, but the bristles aren't as harsh as others I've had-- a welcome trade off.I have to clarify, because I keep seeing reviews from folks saying it's too sharp... it's not too sharp, that is the style of the brush. If you have a poodle, bichon, bedlington, old english sheepdog, etc.-- this is for you. Brush small sections of their coat gently, start brushing at the tips of the hairs and then work back to the roots, and don't just yank through tangles-- use a straight comb to gently tease them apart, THEN use the slicker. If you have a lab, weimereiner, pitbull, chihuahua, short coated shepherd, etc. - NO. Don't buy this brush. This is not what you need. Buy a boarbristle brush. If you've never dealt with mats in your dog's coat, and it's not possible for them to have matting issues, then you do not need a slicker brush. The slicker is not "too sharp"-- it is simply a specific tool, for a specific task. You would not buy a hammer and get upset that it doesn't work well as a screwdriver... this is the same concept. Buy the right tool for the task at hand.

Good brush, sturdy and gets the job done
This is our first slicker brush and I got it for our little Cavalier pup. I used to brush him with a very dense comb (like the Furminator) but I recently discovered that this was not good for his coat. The comb was not only collecting dead hair but was also breaking his coat since it couldn't detangle very well.Cavaliers have a medium long silky smooth coat and the slicker brush is great for getting rid of tangles, debris, grass, etc. without breaking the hairs. The brush doesn't deshed as well as the dense comb but it still collects a good amount of dead hair the more you brush with it. I hope that in the long run it will help with keeping our Cav's coat strong and silky as it's supposed to be.I only wish it wasn't so tricky to clean. Some slicker brushes push the gathered hairs upwards and you can easily remove them. This doesn't do that and I can never get it fully hair-free. To me this is not a deal breaker, though, and for the price I couldn't ask for more. It gets the job done and seems sturdy.Overall, a good brush if this is what you're looking for.

Great brush!
It works great! Both cats love this brush and it pulls out a lot of hair. It's not easy to clean but absolutely worth the annoyance. One of my cats has hated the 3 previous brushes I've purchased but LOVES this one.

Works for what I bought it for
I got it to clean up our Sherpa blanket from Costco. I’m sure it would be great on an animal too!

Amazing quality
I'm a brand loyalist. I don't try new brands easily, usually only switch when an item is discontinued or has a sudden significant drop in quality. That is what lead to my purchasing this brush. My favorite brand for over 20 years began producing brushes that lost pins within months with 1/2 of a given brush being pin-less within 6 mths. I bought multiple thinking I got a lemon, and from different sellers. Nope It was the manufacturer. So here I am with a new favorite slicker brush. WAHL has historically made some of the best grooming clippers in the business so it stands to reason they make a great brush. You won't be disappointed.

Good for 2 dogs with opposite fur (fluffy Goldendoodle & sleek black-haired GSD)
Our rescue mix has sleek black short hair (she's a German Shepard mix) and she loves this brush. She will come up when I'm using it on the other dog and roll over because she particularly loves it on her belly (we brush gently, of course). Our goldendoodle, who has a mixture of very curly poodle hair and soft smooth retriever hair, is usually too active to get fully brushed at once. He likes the brush fine but I think it's excellent for his hair. I do a quick brush every time we go out to the woods because he is a magnet for weeds, leaves, and (sadly) ticks. A quick brush gets all of that off and I clean the brush out - done. Also very little problem with him developing matted hair or knots since we got this brush.

Can’t brush my animals with that?!
I brought 2 of these 1 for my cat and a larger one for my dog..well they arrived..both brushes are the same size and one brush has the little nodules on the end of the bristles and the other just plain wire?!! Would not brush my hair with it..so certainly wouldn’t brush my animals with it! Disappointed as I have always brought WAHL hair products! :(

very fluffy
bit bigger than i thought it would be but that's alright. works perfectly and makes my miniature poodle nice and fluffy ! i don't think he loves the brush but seems to tolerate it a lot better than the bristle brush i was using before. would recommend.

Works but be gentle
I have three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels all with different lengths of fur. It definitely gets the loose hair out of my two very fluffy ones. But just be careful as the bristles are rather sharp. I always tend on the soft side with my fussy dogs.I would recommend the brush though.

Sharp prongs
Very thin sharp prongs. Have to use gently on cat. Does the job.

Buena carda
