Radius Garden 22411 Root Slayer Mini-Digger Shovel, Red

I really like this little shovel. It slices through most of what they refer to as dirt around here. (Concrete might be more accurate.) It is easy to handle and doesn't weigh a ton, so you don't get worn out before you finish the job. It is very sharp, so be cautious when cleaning it up. I would recommend this shovel!

Root Slayer is the right name. We needed to take up Bermuda grass, but wanted to keep it as 2' x 2' sod to use elsewhere in the yard. This neatly saws through the roots and let us roll up the pieces of sod to transport. Haven't tried bigger roots, but it goes right through small roots like hot knife through butter. We love it. Hope it will keep it's edge. We cleaned it and oiled it like a chainsaw before putting it up. I'll update when we use it again.

Wow! I cannot believe how well this works! I bought this shovel for my wife to use planting flowers because our ground is very rocky clay and even a small spade was extremely difficult to use. She was immediately so happy with how easy this shovel was to use. After a few days she asked me to help her. I used the shovel and was absolutely amazed at how easy it was to use. This shovel pierced our rocky ground with very little pressure. After several holes I was so impressed I had to write this review. I gave this product 5 stars because 11 wasn’t an option.

All my friends told me to get a root slayer. They said it would help my arthritic hands. They told me it was worth every penny. I didn't believe them. OMG they were right! I dug up a small tree, then divided perennials, and dug holes for new plants. I can't say enough great things about this shovel.

We have tough clay and lots of roots in VA and this thing cut through the soil like BUTTA BABY! I just love it and I am recommending it to all the planting people I know. You will not be disappointed in this high quality tool’s performance. It does not bend when working in rock hard soil. The handle grip is very comfortable. What more can I say other than don’t waste your money elsewhere and buy this one!

I am so impressed with this shovel. We recently moved to a place with horrible, dense, red clay soil. My other shovels weren't up to the job. I really thought I would have to give up on gardening. But thanks to this shovel, I am back at it with ease. Just don't get too close to sprinkler lines.... Shovel works great!!

Really liked this product. The serrated edges were very helpful cutting through the roots of several oleander plants that I removed. The rounded handle also made it easy to use.

This shovel is so multi purpose and easy to use!! It’s perfect for getting deep rooted weeds! This tool is sturdy but also lightweight enough for the average person to carry around and use. I recommend this shovel for daily use
