GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GREAT PRODUCT
I’m Sooo happy with this kit , very well built stuff !!! The first kit I got was damaged in shipping. No problem, they sent me a return tag immediately. I returned on a Monday and had a new kit Wednesday. Believe it or not I screwed up the free wheel on the second kit , I called them told them what I did. I expected to pay for the piece I damaged. They said no problem, sent me a return tag and told me to send the whole thing back. I had my third kit in 2 days. It works great !! Great customer service great product. You should include instructions on how to program the lcd screen. There are a lot of really useful functions on there. Don’t let that stop the purchase though you can find a video on YouTube on how to program it. Another thing I want to tell people. One of the install videos on there web site has a guy saying he couldn’t use the brake levers that come with the kit cause his brake levers are part of his derailleurs. So we’re mine. Just cut the brake levers off flush with your derailleurs and use the ones that come in the kit. Works perfectly and you never even know there use to be a brake lever attached to my derailleurs. Lot more effective and efficient then the guy in the video dismantling and glueing and ahhh ya. Much cleaner.Great customer service and great product

Seemingly well-built wheel, time will tell.
Originally got into the idea of ebikes because I was sick of inner city traffic only going a few miles. After researching front rear hub motor is in mid Drive Motors I decided I want the rear hub drive, make sure you do your own research. All in all this seems like a great kit I've got about 60 miles on it so far the wiring is very simple and neat easy to hide. The wheel seem solid and well-built. The company is very quick to respond to questions and or concerns oh, they are very quick to make it right with a customer. I would definitely recommend this wheel and we'll update when I have more miles. I am pairing this wheel with a 52 volts 14 amp hour battery my bike is about 65 lb with loaded paniers about 80 to 90 lb. My top speed with pedaling or without pedaling on flat land is about 31 miles an hour.Have hundreds of miles on the wheel now. I frequently pull a child and dog in a trailer loaded down with drinks and other accoutrements and the motor is still strong and handles the weight with no problem. Excellent quality would highly recommend this motor. Have ridden the motor off-road and very rough terrain as well as mud and heavy rain and have had zero problems.

My bike goes 50 km/h now.
After figuring all the issues, the first test ride was awesome.Make sure to wear glasses (and gloves). The batteries that go with the 1200W motor are 48V.20Ah gives about 2 hours of ride or about 60km range. You can get the batteries on e-Bay for about $350.They have a return window of 30 days unlike Amazon. The setup on the control LCD can be entered after the LCD was turned on and initialized. There is a window of 8 seconds, after the LCD initialized, to press the UP+DOWN buttons together for 5 seconds, but not too early or it will not be registered. Then press the M for 5 seconds to set andUP+DOWN for 5 seconds to exit the parameters menu. This is important because some of the parameters, like the wheel size need to be adjusted, for the LCD to display proper stats.CAUTION should be taken, as pressing the DOWN button turns the bike into a 6km/h "cruise" mode, which can be only interrupted by pressing the breaks. Pressing the UP button turns on the light (icon),if the kit had any lamp with it.The PAS sensor delivered with the kit only installs on the left size, opposite to the chain.Flipping the magnet disk to make it work on the right side is a *wrong* advice given around. The kit included TWO torque arms, which need to be installed for 1200W motor. The wheel itself is out of true and not well balanced.Spokes tension varies by 40% (20 to 35 on my park-tool).The wheel, if spun to 50km/h, starts to vibrate and wobble up and down a lot.The spokes are of thick steel, so they may survive without adjusting the tension, but you should still true the wheel as mine looked like the figure 8 from above. This can take like half a day to true the wheel. The freewheel has 7 gears and you need, to replace the shifter(s) on your bike if they don't shift the same gears counts. I have also reduced the front gears to just 2 from 3 to make space for the PAS.Please, replace the rubber handlebars last. Removing the handlebars takes a lot of force. The customer service is actually responsible, and the chat, on eBikeling site, can be accessed with a vanilla Google Chrome browser. The chat web-page does not work well with any Chrome extensions like uBlock.Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. The time taken to install this kit, true the wheel, get another PAS sensor, etc. was about 4 days. This is well spent if you like DIY projects. Otherwise, thinking economically, I would advise anyone to get a full electric bike for about $2500.

One month review ( about 100 miles in with a 28amp hour battery )
So far so good, it is surprisingly fast. And for people not used to this level of speed on a bicycle I suggest taking it easy on the top speed. First its a bicycle capable of scooter speeds so sidewalk travel will need some restraint (and a lot of perception) on the parts of the rider because trouble comes up really fast.If your bike has no suspension like mine you will need to stay off the sidewalk at high speeds because sidewalk are never in the best condition. It doesn't have to much power from a dead stop but when it starts going it does not stop. Meaning if it wasn't governed I could keep up with a car...not a lambo but a regular car. This would be my second go at an EV but this time I had been moved by the performance and the capability of this system, so much that I had just bought a brand new CRF300L Rallya few months ago and am questioning the purchase.

Good - but not for beginners
For the money, this is a decent enough kit. The instructions are just a 2 page flyer, which has a lot of gaps that need to be filled in. Getting this installed required more than a few workarounds. However, the power from the kit can almost keep up with cars, the lcd is good quality, and the waterproof cables are convenient.Overall, a good kit, but don't make it your first conversion!
