Larger than usual, quality knife
The first thing that took me by surprise was the size of the knife. Standard size snap-off blades use an 18mm blade. This knife uses 25mm blades that I had never come across before. As I have large hands, this hasn't been a problem for me.The knife itself is robust and tough, with steel blade guide and what seems to be an aluminium body with ruberised grip. It has a good solid feel. The blade slider mechanism needs to be operated from the back of the plastic slider, otherwise the blade won't slide properly. The plastic slider has popped off in operation when caught against a carboard box, however, clipped back on without any problems or damage. I would recommend making sure this is kept clear from obstructions when using the knife. There is a blade locking wheel that is reverse threaded. This feels odd when tightening by hand, but feels more natural if thightening with your thumb while holding the knife inline, no doubt the thinking behind the design. The wheel comes out if unscrewed, with the spring flying off, but can be screwed back without any damage. I would suggest the manufacturer flanges the end of the screw to stop it from being removed. All in all, a good knife, extremely sharp as far as snap-off blades go, and I've been using it for over a month with heavy daily use cutting down carnboard boxes, and the blade is still reasonably sharp. I think it will be a few months before I need to order some replacement blades (the knife only comes with a single blade). One of the better knives that I have come across, I'll be ordering another for my garage workshop soon.

Quality craft knife for the price.
I am a mechanical engineer by profession so tend to research a product drilling down into the quality of the item before I buy. This knife is of the snap off blade variety. With cheap knives, the blade is liable to retract when pressure is applied. Not with this one as it has a friction thumbscrew at the top to stop this happening. Very easy to use and change blades. Cheap enough to lose every now and again. What's not to like? I recommend this knife, especially for carpet fitting. Buy!

Fantastic knife. Solid
Fantastic knife. Solid, substantial, smooth action. When you buy as much as I do online, you need a decent knife and this is it. I hope it's not too soon that it gets chucked away by accident. If it does, I'll get another the same. Can't beat it.

Broke after a day!
Used for one day and then the blade pushed out from the opposite side and was impossible to slip back into the handle, the associated plastic pins and hooks will not allow it to be inserted back and you can't replace the blade. Won't buy again!
