Amazing!
First off, the headset has REALLY GOOD sound foe a 20 dollar head phones. It has really good treble and bass and the cord is tangle free. The headphones have a nice, hard plastic and i recieved the headphones in a nice pakage box. Overall, the headphones are amazing and they are one of the best, budget headphones ive ever used!

I love my headphones!
Loud when you want them to be, quiet and somewhat noise-blocking when you don't. These are great little headphones! The cord never tangles and they are just the right size on my head/ears. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, although I have a feeling that mine are going to last a long time!

Upgrade? Or Just Style?
I started taking an interest in headphones ever since my Dad brought me the sony mdr zx 100 for my birthday. At that age I didn't really care about sound quality or the cheapness of a headphone, just something I can listen to. But a couple of years forward my interest in headphones began to peak. I was listening from headphones like Audiotechnica m50x, JVC S500's and even the Sennheiser Momentums. So when I browsed amazon one day and found this little upgraded version of my first headphone, I was a bit excited. I started having this interest in comparing the two headphones. I also had brought the SONY MDR ZX 110 for a little extra. So is it really an upgrade? Unfortunately, the looks and comfort of the headphone can only defined as an "upgrade".The sound of the headphones is a bit bland, as it losses a little of the bass that the previous SONY MDR ZX 100 and 110 had. And though this headphone, the SONY MDR ZX310, has a bit, and I mean a tiny bit, more clarity then the SONY MDR ZX 100, it losses it's exciting signature from the previous models. And yes I have burned these headphones in for a decent amount of time.In terms of outward appearance, these are definitely a step up. Personally the white and the lime green version of the headphone are a deal breaker for me as they really stand out. The only problem with the white is that it's literally a cheap looking version of the white SONY MDR ZX 600. On this headphone the outer rim of it gives off this nice black metallic look, similar to the SONY XB 450. There is also the green cord that comes with it, ending the tip of the L- shaped audio jack with a gray finish.Yes this is a gray headphone, with green earpads, not black.Comfort though is a bit debatable. You see these headphones come with ear pads that are like the cheap version of the SONY MDR ZX 600's. The feeling is like the same plastic material of the original SONY MDR ZX 100 but stretched out and more "clean" looking. There really isn't much padding as it's very thin, but because of the lightweight, you really wouldn't worry about it. They block out more sound outside then the SONY MDR ZX 100 and 110, but it's nowhere near the XB 450.Also the pads do make your ear's sweat a little after extended use, but honestly I would pair them up with the replacement ear pads they sell on amazon for an extra five bucks. That's just my personal preference. So if your excited about the sound these headphones deliver, you'll be a bit dissapointed, as the recessed bass is the only significant difference between the older models. But if your looking for a headphone your not afraid to wear in public, this is definitely a good start.

Great Sound!
These headphones sound very nice for the price. Not too bass-y or obnoxious on high end, just a well rounded sound. When I'm writing music for hours on end I need comfortable headphones. These are extremely comfortable and do not squeeze my head like some other headphones. They fold up nice and compact and they have a sturdy design. Definately a good quality product by Sony. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are not quite as loud as I would like for fine tuning things in music production.

Happy with these headphones...
I'm very satisfied with these headphones. I came across them while looking for some decent yet inexpensive headphones for me to travel out of the country with, these did not disappoint. Great sound and they folded up nicely to fit in my backpack. I'll buy these again if I need another set.
