Easy installation, great bit of kit, aftermarket reverse camera works a treat.

Good value from a solid brand.Fairly easy to install and works like a charm, but my only 2 minor niggles are:1-screen brightness could be better(agree with others on this)2-wish I had controls on my steering wheel as reaching over to even turn the volume up is like ……d’oh!-but that’s in no way the fault of the stereo itself!

Take time to install. Better install with 3th brand tools. Sound really nice that I have not to buy set of speakers, it already improved the voice.

As i have an iPhone this is a very versatile car stereo system for a good price and has the quality that I have come to expect from any Sony audio product. The apple carplay only works when you have the Iphone plugged into the system and not through bluetooth, which is why this system is cheaper.

An excellent unit. Very simple and easy to use. Installation simple into a Suzuki Jimmy. The addition of DAB makes this great value for money

I was sent by 'The Sony Store' a different damaged second-hand sony car stereo, packaged in the the brand new packaging of this advertised brand new product? The label of the product had been removed leaving a white patch, that was obviously a rubbish attempt at disguising the fact, and so implies some definite covering-up and intention, They refunded me, but I'm still confused how this could of happened in the first place, since this is Amazon not Ebay, and also Sony are supposed to be a branded proper company that only sells brand new products.

Overall it works well, clear screen and easy to install.I thought I had got the android compatible version, but unfortunately not. I may have got confused as I was comparing several versions. My phone, a Google Pixel 5 works with Bluetooth but doesn’t connect via the wire.This means I don’t have sat Nav which is a shame, hence the low rating.The sound isn’t bad, (let down by the car itself!) No problem with fitting, it was simple with the addition of a Mazda adapter. Overall I’m happy, just wish I’d realised it wasn’t Android compatible.

The Sony XAV-AX1005DB radio fitted well in my Smart Car. Electrically it was pretty well plug and play using the multi wire adapter that was supplied with the new Sony radio. mechanically it was a bit more of a challenge. I bought a special fitting kit and even then had to drill some holes in the fitting kit "ears" to match this radio. It took a bit of accurate measuring to ensure it was right.I also bought an active radio antenna splitter so I could feed both FM and DAB antenna radio inputs from just the existing car antenna. It workes very well so no need for a seperate DAB antenna.The unit is pretty easy to use after a bit of getting used to. Great sound quality.The back of the radio gets pretty hot in use, even if the volume isn't turned up much but I'm sure that's normal. At least it doesn't seem to have any annoying loud fans inside like some radios do.Use Google Maps instead of Apple's Maps, then you can put any destination, post codes and so on in on the radio screen, instead of having to do it on your phone.I was a little disappointed that there is no option to put in a security code, so if anyone should break in and steal it it will work right away for them.
