Make sure you have one in your tool box!
These Haynes manuals have been a very valuable tool for almost every car I have ever owned. In fact, they really taught me how to work through almost every problem I've ever had. I never had Saturday oil change days with my dad and I had to teach myself how to work on cars. With simple step-by-step instructions and detailed photos, these books have helped me on a contiunual basis from tune ups to full engine overhauls! Get one for all your cars!!

if you need it... its great
For some reason Haynes is still making books for a 40yo motorcycle. Thankfully they are, because I picked one up that had been in a garage for 20y to have for my first bike. This has already saved me a major headache with trying to get my cylinder head off. It isn't the 'end all be all' of guides, you'll need to turn to other resources like forums to get things like factory mix screw setting, factory jet sizes, etc... but on the whole it is quite helpful, as you'd expect it to be.Two things they need to edit though, that i've noticed: 1- the picture of the main air and pilot air jets in the carb are labeled backwards (just like the one in the Yamaha manual), 2- theres a whole page of images where they words look to not only be written backwards, but also be in russian. Overall I'm very happy I got this. Haynes manuals are awesome .

A must have for rebuilding a bike!
I don't know where I'd be without this manual. Detailed instructions for multiple bikes in the XJ family, including the US and UK versions of the 650 and 750 Maxim and Seca.

Okay
There are a few inaccuracies in the book, but overall it's not bad... and one page was printed backwards.

Great service, best price
This item was in great condition for it's age, and was exactly what I needed. Well worth what I paid for it.

Next best thing to a factory manual
Haynes manuals are not as good as a factory service manual, but hey, what do you expect for $30. Seriously though, it is a great manual and it had all the necessary information to turn the non-running bike I purchased into a fully operational, fire-breathing monster. Haynes breaks each procedure down into small steps that even a novice can understand.

Decent manual for the price.
Not as good as a factory manual but still very helpful. As an older fellow, my main gripe is the print is too small. Price was fair on Amazon.
