City of Darkness - Life in Kowloon Walled City Photo Book in Japanese JP Oversized

The book was well packaged. I would say it looked brand new.As far as the book goes, its amazing and I wish I could read Japanese. Kowloon is an astonishing icon with how China transformed over the years and I am eager to learn more about this place. Any content that preserves the essence of this interesting place is an absolute gift. With the pictures, I say it does it that well, and if I could read Japanese, I know that it would do the same.

I bought this as an art reference, since I always seem to end up going back to pictures of Kowloon. After getting sick of using the internet to find a lot of these photos I just grabbed myself a copy, there are tons of great pictures in here that are hard to come by online, plus who doesn't love a nice physical book to keep around?Excellent book, came in great condition as well.

Received the parcel this morning - much to my surprise because I was given an estimate delivery date of Nov 18th. Delighted to have this book a few weeks 'early'! The book is in great condition and is exactly what I had hoped it would be. I needed this for my degree as I am producing an animation based on the Walled City. There are lots of 'unseen' photos in the book that you can't find online.

Love the book, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't another beautiful, oversized, hardcover like the other Kowloon Illustrated book. It doesn't indicate that it's a paperback anywhere in the description, and by calling it an Oversize it's a little misleading, especially because the last oversized was hardcover.
