Excellent Machine!
Great product! The shipping was really fast like a week ahead of schedule. Blew me away! The wooden crate it came in was very heavy duty and protected the saw 100% from damage. Its heavy and weigh about 450lbs and you will need a forklift, or several people to lift it. Its a beast! The blade that comes with the saw is very workable, but I wanted a blade with more teeth per inch so i did order another blade. I was over impressed with the accuracy of the cuts right from the factory and the swivel base it fantastic when cutting angles because you don't have to move the stock. The saw also came with a replacement electrical system switch for those who want to connect the saw to 230 volt service. Overall, this is the best saw for the money when looking to graduate up to a professional size saw. I made a nice oversize cart with 3 x 2 x 3/16 angle and 2 x 2 x 1/8 square tube for it to set on. I made this stand with swivel wheels to provide better mobility than the straight stock wheels that came with the saw. The rolling stand also raised the saw up to a better working level saving my back. I am very happy with this saw thus far and look forward to many years of use.

quick review
Saw works great the 90 and 45 cuts are "on the money" There are couple complaints but for the money great saw. When head is up the coolant drips on floor while cutting. The base should have a large door for storage (u can cut your own). Past that VERY HAPPY with the saw. Its only one speed but I don't see that as an issue.

BEST SAW WITH THE LARGEST CUT CAPACITY FOR THE MONEY
THIS SAW IS GREAT! EASY TO SET UP USE, CUTS PERFECTLY SQUARE AND AWESOME FOR CUTTING ANGLES, I REALLY LIKE THE STATIONARY VISE AND MOVING BOW, IT ALLOWS FOR MUCH QUICKER CUTTING OF ANGLES AND ITS CAPACITY ON A 45 DEGREE ANGLE FAR EXCEEDS THE $10K COLD SAW I WAS LOOKING AT. I ALWAYS DO MY RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING EQUIPMENT AND THIS WAS THE BEST DEAL I FOUND. QUIET AND WORKS FLAWLESSLY. 4 BELT SPEEDS, MICRO ADJUSTABLE SAW FEED, AND ADJUSTABLE FLOW ON THE COOLANT. GOOD COOLANT PUMP SET UP TOO...IM VERY HAPPY WITH IT!

Excellent band saw, wish I had bought it years ago
This saw performs excellently at the task of cutting metal. It arrived mostly assembled and I was able to quickly put it to work on its first project, new brackets and casters for the base.My only complaint about this saw is that with the supplied wheels, it does not turn easily when moving around the shop (500lbs), it sits too low for comfortably working with material and when flipped up to perform vertical saw operations it seems unsteady as has been noted by other reviewers. In the case of the 712R, flipping directly up did not put the machine so off balance that it would tip but if it were lifted too high while set to miter at 45 degrees, it would fall over. I grabbed some 1/4" angle iron and ordered some 9" casters with brakes. The added foot print has removed any concern I had with stability, the machine is much easier to work with and I can move it around my shop much easier.I also plumbed in a secondary coolant tip for the cutting blade directly after the cutting area. I don't feel this is a necessary update for most as it likely would not make a difference for normal home shop use but for someone building a rollcage or two each year, it makes for a lot longer blade life.

Good deal for a money, but skeptical about its longevity and a few dumb design flaws
I needed a saw that had a vise that opened 8'' and wanted the swivel head design, coolant and a 1'' blade so settled with this one solely based off the low cost, i think any saw with that capacity is a few thousand more from the other brands and overall the quality feels ok.But the cons are the sub frame should be thicker gauge metal you can see it flexing/bouncing when the saw is cutting and catches a tooth, i will weld in supports when i get the chance. The coolant system feels clunky and needs to have valves with finer controls - it seems like its either full blast or nothing and only comes out of one line most of the time. But the biggest flaw and its mentioned nowhere is that this cannot clamp flat stock in the horizontal position that is under 1/4'' thick - the moving side of the vise is 3/16'' above the cutting surface so the flat stock slides under it when trying to clamp it. I called them to ask about it and they offered me 30 dollars and asked "why dont you buy shear if you want to cut thin material" which made me laugh and is one of the dumbest things any customer service person has ever said to me lol. And then they offered me $100 which is still funny but a little better - luckily i have a mill and can slot the mounting holes in the plate to allow it to slide down and ride on the bed of the cutting surface so problem solved. If i wasnt in a rush with a small budget i would opt for something better but i think i'll at least get a few years out of it, really glad i got the 3 year warranty - i have a feeling i will be using it.

Awesome !!
i have a metal fabrication shop and we burn up chop saws all the time - spent the extra money for this one and extremely pleased with it. the operators manual calls for SAE30 oil for a lubricant but is too thick for the pump to work - we used hydraulic oil and it works perfect. spoke to customer service immediately when we put it together and spoke to a person right away - sent a new pump that day but the issue was the oil not the pump. Extremely happy with my purchase !!

Good saw
My only issue regarding this saw is the down feed hydraulic piston. It seems to be a new design and looks good but poor function. Makes lifting the saw heavy because you are fighting the oil in piston. Ones you are up you cannot lower it back without turning saw on. If you are measuring off the blade for your cut pc you are forced to turn saw on to bring it down close to the material. I also own the 12” version of this saw and it’s great, standard cylinder to raise & lower. Only down side to 12” is I must have blades made no one carry’s the odd size
