Better than I expected!
Since I had a very large space to fill, and my eyes are getting old, I replaced my 50" Plasma Screen Television with this 82" LG 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV.The initial set-up was easy - It connected instantly to my wireless network and all my devices (wired AND wireless). It was very easy to wall mount as well; it took two of us, but was easy since I had wall mounted a previous television in the past - this one was just a bit heavy, but following the instructions and understanding the physics behind it were a plus. It took only 15 minutes to set up and wall mount! It is hard to tell from the photo, but the television is 73" wide and 42" tall. ...From floor to top of TV is 79"!!The Television is an EXCELLENT addition to my home. All of my devices are easily controlled through the ARC/HDMI connection and the one LG "Magic" Remote. No need for multiple remotes any more. ... Obviously, my game consoles still requite their individual controllers for game play. Other than that, one remote controls them all.The only aspect I'm not happy with is the viewing angle ... At about 30°, the picture dims and looses some of the color and quite a lot of contrast. This isn't a big problem since I don't have any seating at that angle. I can only view the TV from less than 30° only when I enter the room from the right-side landing. After reading the reviews before purchase; some people complained about the contrast ratio. This is NOT a problem if you access the television's settings and bump it down a bit. The automatic settings are for quick/easy adjustment, but can be fine tuned. Users have to realize: broadcast, cable, satellite, and streaming services are not consistent with picture quality and audio duplication. Adjustments need to be made on occasion. It helps if you have an ARC complaint amplifier which automatically adjusts to the originating source.All-in-all ... AWESOME picture quality and easy to switch from device to device without having to be smarter than a fifth-grader (and READING the instruction manual that comes with the "Magic" Remote).Great TV. Great Price.Perfect for what I purchased it for.

I'm no expert, but...........
This thing is awesome!!!I got this tv to replace a 70" Vizio, there was nothing wrong with it, but it was 5 years old and not a 4K.As a size reference, the Vizio was the exact same width as the white cabinet underneath it ;)I ordered this tv for $1,996 - within 24 hours, it had dropped down in price to $1,799, If it was 10 or 20 bucks then I wouldn't have worried about it - but a $200 decrease made me call Amazon, As the order was still processing and hadn't shipped yet, they refunded me the $200 that it had dropped in price (I asked if I should cancel the order and then re-order it at the lower price)In the meantime, I went over to Harbor Freight and bought one of their fully adjustable wall mounts for $40 - Plenty of great reviews for this, I know it says suitable for around 80" tv's and this is an 86" - but it's also good for 130lbs and this weighs around 98lbs. The mount works very well - and trust me you will really appreciate being able to pull it out from the wall and tilting it various angles when plugging in your HDMI's etc.- Next trip was to find a new sound bar and woofer, that would be better than my vizio that o bought at the same time as the tv. I initially went looking for the Bose 700 and found out that these are like Ford & Chevy -- they have their supporters and other people say something else is better - I was also looking at the Samsung for the same price ($799) I went in to Best Buy (not my favorite store) because they had a few on display that I could listen to. You know what? The guy at Best Buy did me a "solid" and pointed me in the direction of the LG soundbar and sub, it was only $399!! After listening to them all, I simply could not justify spending $400 more for the others - maybe some "audiophiles" will point out the differences, but I couldn't hear any. The only thing that concerned me about the tv was the reports of poor "Blacks" on the screen - Again, I am just a regular Joe - and they look perfectly fine to me! I only installed it today, the pointer on the remote is pretty cool and am still working through it's features - But I'm loving this monster and highly recommend it, Picture is great and sound is average with built in speakers - but stands out with the sounder. I also bought an extended warranty from Amazon to go with it - really pleased with this ;)

LG 86" 4K Ultra Review
This is an excellent addition to my Family Room! I am upgrading from a Vizio 70" 1080p. This TV makes my 70" look like a 50". I've read others complaining about the black levels, but I find the blacks to be just right. I understand that there are different levels of black for shaded areas, but let's be real, you don't knock off two or three stars just because you think the blacks could've been "blacker". You have to weigh the price point of this TV against the features. If you want to spend an extra $2K for blacker blacks, then be my guest. This TV fits my price point and is a definite upgrade from 1080p. I was able to hook up my TiVo HDR, my Xbox One, my Firestick, and my soundbar/subwoofer - that's all I need. The screen is big. The picture is clear, and it has all the ports I need to connect devices. I probably won't even use most of the features that are included anyway. I would definitely recommend this TV to someone in the market.

SUPER TV!!!!
I purchased this TV on Nov 22nd 2019. That was 5 years ago. This TV has been OUTSTANDING! No problems whatsoever. Vibrant color. Reasonably good sound...I added an LG sound bar and sub woofer to perk up the audio. The only problem I had was that the first unit arrived with the front panel glass smashed in. Had to order a second one. That one was perfect and is the same one that I'm using today. The only difficulty was getting it wall mounted. It is very large and a little unwieldly. After it was mountedeverything was great. I'll never be afraid to order another LG big screen TV.
