LEGO: Marvel Super Heroes - Nintendo Wii U

I'm going to start this review off with a disclaimer. Not only am I a Marvel Fanboy, I'm a LEGO fanboy, and LEGO Marvel minifigures are already lining the shelves in my room. None the less, I'm going to give the game a fair and honest review.As soon as you turn on the game you get a glimpse of what it's all about. The game opens (if you don't press start!) with a little story narrative that introduces the plotline of the game. When we start a new game we're shown a cut scene that tells us more about what we're up against. The first level is the same one we've seen a million times, fighting Sandman at Grand Central station. It's the same level you see in almost every trailer for the game, and the same level you could demo in stores.Playing the game is just like any other LEGO game. You have your basic hitting, punching or blasting moves, and breaking certain objects apart lets you build new items from the ground up, usually helping to progress the story! The first characters you play as are Hulk and Iron Man! Hulk can transform back to Bruce Banner at will, and Iron Man can take to the skies and fly around the battlefield, blasting enemies from the air!A little further into the level and we discover something I haven't seen done in a LEGO video game before. A third character joins the fight! Spider-man teams up with Hulk and Iron Man to add a third character (and more powers!) into the mix! Now when you're playing two player your friend doesn't have to be stuck being a sidekick! They're a full-fledged super hero just like you, and they can choose who they want to play as!The game is more action packed than most LEGO games! Right out of the gates you're faced with a giant Sandman that you must defeat to complete the level! There's no time to take it slow when the universe is at stake!The controls can be a bit frustrating at times until you get used to them. I kept trying to use certain moves, only to accidently switch between characters or launch myself into the air to fly! It's probably just me though, I'm always a bit slow at learning new controls.I'm only two levels in, but I can see that the game is absolutely loaded with extra content. The character acquisition screen at the end of each level shows an abundance of characters that are just waiting to be unlocked, and each level has a ton of areas that can't be accessed without characters with certain abilities!The game is a mix up of the Marvel universe. While Maria Hill is a staff member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, and Agent Coulson is still alive, Nick Fury is making Schwarma jokes, all of which are direct references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Interestingly enough, though, and obviously due to issues with rights and licenses, Spider-man (based on his costume, and the related LEGO sets) is from the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon universe! What's even stranger is that Doc Ock (who appears in a recent LEGO Spider-man set) is wearing his classic comic outfit! The game takes a few elements from all over the Marvel universes and blends them together in a fun game for kids and adults!Kids will love being able to play with their favorite Marvel characters and toys, while adults will love the fun humor and references to the films and other aspects of the Marvel universe.The game isn't too farfetched either. Unlike in the original LEGO Batman where Batman and Robin had invented strange suits that existed solely for the purpose of accessing certain areas, each Marvel Superhero has a specialized set of unique abilities that help progress the storyline without making the characters dress up in clunky non-cannon costumes.While the game is no LEGO City Undercover, it's a fun game packed with a ton of content and all the Marvel characters we know and love. Let's face it, Marvel hasn't had a good track record recently of releasing the most quality games, but LEGO Marvel Superheroes is looking to change that. The unique storytelling and great use of the characters powers and abilities doesn't make the game stale or feel forced. Playing through the game takes critical thinking and it's fun finding out all the things each superhero is capable of! The solid gameplay and fun (and not so farfetched) story elements along with the classic LEGO humor help create the winning formula for this game. While it's not perfect, the game is a ton of fun and I can't wait to discover all there is!

So another Lego game concerning Superheroes comes out, and you know I am all over it, if not immediately, then eventually, this game is fun, but is not the best Lego game concerning Superheroes, (Unless except your a huge Marvel Fan) to me Lego Batman(the first one) is still the genuine classic of Lego Superhero Sagas, where this finds it way somewhere between Lego Batman one and two. (Better then part two, but not as good as part one) Now onto the pluses and minuses.+ This is the first Lego Superhero game to be launched on Next gen systems as well as portables, and older systems, as thus this is the first Lego game concerning Superheroes that you get to see truly next gen graphics, and boy is it good. You'll love the graphics here. (Note there was Lego Batman 2 on the Wii U, but to be honest, graphically speaking it did not look like a true next gen game.)- Well as in Lego Batman 2, there are scenes where certain things blend in so well, that they are hard to see.+ The number of heroes in this game is amazing, as well as villains, and characters in general.- A lot of characters do the same exact things, that others do, and some characters make others seem useless over time.+ There is a lot of puzzles, some of which make you think.- Well in general, none of these are anything you haven't seen before for the most part, WB and TT keep doing the same things over and over again. In addition, some areas are hard, not because the puzzle is hard, but certain things are just so hard to notice.+ A lot of the team ups in story mode are cool, and having three, and sometimes four characters in a party is a awesome new addition to the series of Lego games.- However there are a few team ups that get over used, as well as characters, and some will make you, okay whatever,- In addition, sometimes your characters have a tendency to fall off the sides and respawn just to fall again repeatedly, never had this problem with Lego Batman, also sometimes the extra characters, especially the big boys like Hulk and Thing have a nasty habit of getting in your way and preventing you from doing certain things you need too.+ The Music to this game is really good, and has a few different tunes from different movies.+ There is a lot to unlock, including events, and battles, characters, vehicles, and various boosts, as well as different versions of certain characters.+ The world is wide open to exploring.- Well the Wii U version is not going to get any DLC apparently.+ The off screen playing is really nice on the game pad, and the maps etc. are well done.- Even after the Update there are still bugs in this game, though I think the update, stopped a lot of crashes, and various other things.- Prepare for some Slowdown in the battle with Galactus.= The sense of humor here is hit and miss.+ The voice acting is pretty cool here. Listening to your characters talk is pretty cool too.So in the end, this is a Very Good Game for the U, and well worth picking up, if your a fan of the Lego series, or a fan of Marvel Comics, or both. There is enough here to make you geek out, though it is unfortunate that the Wii U will not be getting the DLC others do. :(. Still a great game to pick up for the U.Bugs I encountered so far while playing this.1. In Asgard while chasing Loki, Captain America, fell off the side, and wound up walking apparently on the water below the bridges and what not, and Nothing could get him back up with the rest of the team, which was unfortunate, because I needed him to get to the next part. Ended up restarting from the last save point.2. While trying to Skip the Intro where Galactus was eating huge Asteroids etc, etc. I skipped them, just to have no option for new game, load game etc. show up. Had to close out the game and restart it.3. In the final battle with Doctor Doom, though I had been using the game pad the entire game, Thing suddenly decided to go every which way besides the way I wanted him to go, I had to switch characters and switch back to him, to regain control.If you encountered any bugs after the update, feel free to put them in the comments below, to help get the word out, Thank you. Another great Lego game , awesome story, tons of characters and fun action, if you’ve played any other Lego game you know what your getting

As with many of the Lego series, this game is full of hours of story mode, free play, minikits, etc. My 9 year old loves these games. For this I give it a positive review.However - like many other Lego video games - it's also full of software bugs. Some of this game's bugs are particularly annoying, e.g. the game can freeze up after defeating Loki. It's even worse if you don't use the "Save & Continue" kiosks en route, 'cuz you'll have to play the whole level again (if you didn't already give up any hope of advancing!).Fortunately, we haven't yet found any of these freeze-up points that we didn't get thru after a few patient retries. Recommendation: wait a minute or two to take the final shot on Loki after you reveal him. This worked for us the first time we stalled there before finishing him off.At this point the game is about 8 years old, but I suspect it's always been prone to deadlocks like this that were never fixed reliably in software. You'll find old discussions online that complain about the same types of issues.One more note: control of flying characters is difficult in this game (particularly flight races), since the C stick doesn't affect the trajectory of flight. This is much improved in the Lego games for Switch.

Good game

Ya había jugado la franquicia de LEGO anteriormente hace ya tiempo y tenía mis reservas de que este fuera a ser diferente y que me fuera a gustar sin embargo como estaba a muy buen precio lo compré y me lleve una grata sorpresa ya que el juego considero esta muy bien hecho, buena combinación de personajes y escenarios y una historia que entretiene. Estoy muy contento con la compra.

Enfin j'ai reçu le jeu, il fonctionne super bien.

El juego es bueno pero los controles son muy molestos en especial el wii mote con el nunckuck , se vu el ve tedioso
