Precise instrument, easy to transport and store in a compact workspace
I am very pleased with the well made construction quality, safety features and the high level of precision this saw provides. It’s like the “Mercedes” of saws and provides comfort and precision for woodworking projects.. the lightweight and the compact attributes of the saw makes it an excellent choice for handy home owners, contractors and hobbyists.. relatively quiet in comparison, well balanced when transporting, small footprint in the workshop.. excellent stability.. it was calibrated and didn’t need any adjustments.. it remained calibrated after a long-haul project..The saw arrived in perfect condition and well packed for shopping.

Very pleased.
I bought this to augment a beast of a Dewalt miter saw that, for all of its virtues, lacks the capacity to slide. I ALMOST went with the Harbor Freight Hercules sliding miter saw when the Amazon algorithm spit this one out. With the sale price it was $40.00 less then Harbor Fright, and it is a Bosch. I have always been happy with Bosch tools, so I went for it. I have the Bosch set up on a portable miter saw stand.I had to do some minor tweaking out of the box, and started cutting pine and oak cabinet pieces. Very pleased with the accuracy. Not so pleased with the dust collection. The bag (included with the saw) offers the merest suggestion of dust collection. It wasn't much better hooked to a shop vac dust collection system. Not a huge deal, most miter saws have poor duct collection. The handle on the top got in the way of both the bag and the vac, so I might remove it.If you are looking for a saw to cut giant 6x6 fence posts, this isn't it. 2x4 stock is pretty much the limit. The included blade made short work of pine, and didn't struggle through oak. Good cut quality, probably would get better results with a specialty blade.Overall, very pleased.

one of the best
this is my second one gave the first one to my Son after 8 years with a lot of life left in it....I have owned a lot of Bosch tools and have always found them to be high quality and long lasting ...I found over the years i didn't need my 12 " in DeWalt miter saw ( it is also a great saw) that much after building a few decks and now this smaller much more mobile saw does everything I need

Job site miter saw
I was looking for a versatile miter saw, and found this Bosch miter saw. Although it’s an 8 1/2” inch blade, the fact that it’s got the sliding arm, makes it very practical; and it’s practical. One person can carry it to a job site. I would like for it to come with a better blade, although the one that comes without it is good enough, not the best, though.

Great general purpose trine saw
I've had this saw for a few months now. I am a cabinet builder/trim carpenter. I use this saw for its portability. That being said, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it's extremely awkward to carry. The handle is horribly placed. I don't want it on a stand because space comes at a premium in my van. So I am forced to carry it.As for the operation of the saw.... no problems at all. I went through the initial set up of the saw. It cuts very "true". I put a Freud blade on it and have not experienced any wobble. It has plenty of power to cut trim, hardwood fillers, even enough clearance to cut 3 1/4 crown. Overall... great saw.

Perfect
This miter saw is perfect. Easy to carry, set up and work with it. It is also precise in any type of cut. I am using it for decking and other stuff and it is worthwhile every penny.

Not for the finest of finish work or the faint of heart
Ill start by saying I have owned all major brands: 12 saws in total. I'm a professional. This saw is a C+ in terms of construction. For the money its kind of flimsy. The first one I purchased burned out within the first day of use. Left me stranded on a jobsite. Returned to amazon and got a new one. Yay Amazon! Next one came in and has a massive amount of wobble in the arbor and cuts are 3/16"+ wide with an 1/8" blade. Has a tendency to walk the blade off the bottom of the piece leaving you with an "ear" or small bevel on bottom edges of the workpiece which i attribute to some play in the rails. Leaves much to be desired. Single bevel is fine if you know how to cut. It does all the same work as the dual bevel. Previous saw was a Makita LS0714 which i hated to part with. Great saw. Discontinued! Blasted! Would not take this Bosch again if you gave it to me: has left me shaking my head too many times during the work day! Save your sanity!!**UPDATE....I am absolutely through with this pile of junk. After a year and a half of giving it a try I'm finished. Recently tried to install a kitchen and trim some openings with flat beaded casing and this thing has so much blade wobble, all of it came out looking 70% at best. Totally unacceptable. Good thing it was paint grade... totally embarrassing to bring this to a job and expect perfect performance. In the past month I have purchased three different blades for this saw: 1: Freud 8" miter blade. 2: Tenryu 8" miter blade 3: CMT commercial finish blade. This problem is NOT THE BLADE ITS THE SAW. Not for precision work at ALL. Might make a good saw for cutting 2x4 studs. Just might.

Just what I needed
Great quality product. I bought this to cut a bunch of 1 by 12 boards as my old saw would only cut up to 7 inches. Super small foot print and lightweight but still a powerhouse. My only complaint is that when cutting out to 12 inches at 0°, the cut is off by 1/16 of an inch
