fantastic budget wheel...
In 2020 I bought four of these wheels. They are still used daily in my teaching studio - thepottershouse.scotthey sit in amongst, Shimpo and Bailey wheels and hold their own. They are robust and great for teaching on with the digital screen for speed. These wheels have had a tough life in my studio with relentless classes and I cannot fault them. For the price you get left and right handed throwing, pedal or hand control a water cup and a batt. they will they are relatively quiet.negative if you use too much water, they leak a little. not a game changer really... learn to use water efficiently. It is a great potters wheel, and spare parts can be purchased from Airgoo EU.HAPPY POTTING.

Great value for money
I've had it a couple of weeks now and am really pleased with it. I bought it as a backup for my treadle wheel, and actually used it more than I expected. For the price this is a brilliant wheel! If I have a criticism it would be the foot pedal, it is completely useless! If you're realistic about what you're buying you'll be pleasantly surprised.Update. I've had it a while now, the max weight I've thrown is about 4kg and It's handled it really well. The splash pan works surprisingly well, I expected it to leak, but it doesn't. Having said that I don't use a lot of water, I prefer slip so maybe that helps. The other surprise is how quiet it is, it's a quite pleasant low humming. If it's your first wheel or a backup you will definitely not be disappointed.I bought it in November 2019 and sadly it is starting to struggle. Having said that it's taken one hell of a battering! Its made everything from mugs to massive moon jars.It was well worth the price. I've included some photos of what it has made as encouragement for beginners not sure if it is good value or not.

works well - good value
The wheel runs true and the housing feels sturdy - splash guard also feels sturdy and is easy to remove for cleaning. The foot pedal is like that on a sewing machine not as potters wheels I have used previously in that you cannot just set a speed and take your foot off - but the knob digital control to set the speed works well and just as easy once you get used to it. The motor housing so close to the splash guard makes the working space feel a bit cramped - but a great starter wheel - and overall very good value.

An excellent potters wheel
This wheel is a fantastic piece of kit, as a newcomer to pottery it fits my needs entirely! The wheel was delivered well packaged, and it was very easy to assemble. I was surprised at how heavy it was to lift; that’s not to say it’s difficult, just that it feels a very healthy weight for something that will be receiving a lot of pushing and pulling! I’ve been able to make a number of pots and vases with this wheel (some more lob sided than others!!) and it’s enabled me to pursue my love of ceramics outside my ceramics class! I use this wheel on a TINGBY side table from IKEA, along with a gold out chair from IKEA and it’s the perfect height for steadying the wheel between your knees! I also don’t use the wheels or the bottom panel on the tingby, instead I only use the legs directly on the floor and I use the bottom panel of the tingby for setting my pieces on to dry! But if you’re in the market for a potters wheel and you’re unsure of the “cheaper” wheels out there like this one, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed with this purchase!

Supplied with an EU plug
A great wheel if supplied with a UK legal plug. I had to return this item as Trading Standards told me that it was illegal to supply with an EU two pin plug and not fit for purpose in the UK.

Packaged very well
The media could not be loaded. I ordered a cheap clay wheel for £150 and it came damaged so I sent it back and brought this more expensive wheel and straight away you can see it's more premium, packaged very well with polystyrene moulded to the shape of the wheel. So using the wheel you can use them LCD control or the foot pedal , goes forward and reverse, bat included, no tools but they are cheap enough to buy , quite heavy but that speaks of it's robustness, the tray is detachable for cleaning , very pleased and glad I payed more money .

Excellent for hobby potter
Sturdy, easy to use, electric wheel. Use of pedal or handy knob to control wheel speed. Able to throw easily. Fairly quiet. Not easy to clean and attached bowl comes in two parts, doesn’t quite fit snuggly and tends to leak. Bit of a fiddle but overall I’d recommend for practice and anyone starting out.

It’s okay as a practice machine
If you’re looking for something robust it’s not this machine! But as a newby who’s interested in ceramics and fancy a new hobby it’s ideal.
