110% exactly as advertised.
Ok, how can something be 110% as advertised? Well, much to my surprise there was a Display Port to HDMI dongle included that was not advertised. Everything worked perfectly. The wired keyboard and mouse were very clean and both work great. The memory was 2 sticks of 8GB DDR4 name brand RAM so it came configured for dual channel out of the box. The 500 gig SSD is a brand name and not a cheap off name brand. The wireless is actually a USB dongle that didn't need any additional drivers. Total setup time from opening the box to seeing the windows screen was about 5 minutes. Packaging was perfect. Can't say enough good about this machine. It just works!

Barely refurbished
Pros:low low pricedecent CPU performancedecent amount of memory/diskCons:may barely meet specFlexIO adapter variesexpect moderate internal damageFirst, my intent is to use this as a server, not a desktop, and it will run Linux rather than the included Windows OS. As such, I will be attempting to run this headless, and don't care about graphics quality. Mine had a serial port instead of a third display port, unlike what other reviewers received, but that's fine with me.There is a M.2 (A+E) slot for a WiFi adapter, but that was empty and the two antenna plugs were just dangling under the SSD. However, they included a USB WiFi adapter in the package, so I guess that counts as meeting specs. Also, it frees up that slot for a M.2-to-SATA adapter so I can rig up an external eSATA drive bay. Yay! There is also an empty 2280 NVMe slot below the 2.5" SSD.The biggest scare was the unit's condition when I first opened the box. There was a screw missing from the drive bay, and another (different size) screw loose and rattling inside the chassis when I unboxed it and slid the top off. I suspect the loose screw was from a M.2 card they removed; they should have just tightened it down so it wouldn't rattle free, as powering it up like that was likely to short something. Also, there was a loose piece of plastic that seems to be part of the fan duct that normally goes between the cooler fins and the rear of the case. The rest of that duct was simply missing, so I'm worried about over-heating as the warm air recirculates rather than being expelled. That part doesn't seem to be available new or used anywhere, so I'm hoping I can get by with some Kapton tape or 3D print something that fits.In addition, the back panel was slightly bent and some of the CPU cooler fins were damaged, but nothing that couldn't be straightened or would prevent it from working; it is used, after all. I think the people doing the refurbishment just don't understand how to use the packaging to secure the unit when it's shipped, as that seems to be a common complaint. So, after a little additional refurbishment, I put it back together, plugged it in, and it did boot up just fine.I don't recommend this for people who aren't comfortable opening up a PC case and replacing internals. However, for someone looking for a media PC or small x86 server to tinker with, it may just fit the bill.

Great hardware to put Linux Mint22 on.
Got this to use in my office while my HP EliteDesk 800 moves to my lab. Good systems toput Linux on. I very much like the small size and great performance it has. And the price is good toooo.

Would not power on with included AC adapter
I wanted to replace an older full-sized desktop system, with a smaller energy-efficient and compact unit for general internet web browsing. A refurbished low cost micro-sized PC seemed like the perfect solution.First the packaging:It came in a box the length of the keyboard, thick enough to also include in it the mouse, power supply, and micro pc. It appears to be a box just put together by folding over a large piece of cardboard, and it fell apart as soon as I opened one end to remove the contents. Strike one, but ok this isn't a real big deal.Ok fine, they cut corners in getting the packaging together to keep costs down.I check the power supply and it is not an HP power supply, but some off-brand third party unit. I figure as long as it works, it shouldn't be an issue.I connect the PC up to a monitor via displayport cable, plug in the AC adapter, plug in the mouse and keyboard, and try powering it on. Nothing happens. I recheck all the connections and they seem good. But still the PC won't power up. I plug in the AC adapter to a different AC on the power strip and try again... still no go. Bad PC? Bad power supply? Incompatible power supply? Strike two... maybe they will ship me a replacement power supply, and I can use my laptop AC adapter in the mean time.Since I also have an HP laptop, and the plug in the back appears to have the same connector, I try my HP AC Adapter from my laptop to try and power it on. Voila! It powers up! The included power supply appears to be incompatible with this HP micro PC.So I try configuring Windows as it goes through the Windows setup screens. I'm noticing that the monitor will flicker intermittently, perhaps once every 5-10 seconds or so. Maybe this will go away once I complete the Windows setup and update drivers, and perhaps use another DisplayPort, as this unit has 3 DisplayPorts.I completed the setup and updated all drivers and firmware (it was already the latest firmware from HP). I tried all 3 DIsplayPorts and a different DispayPort cable, but the flickering continued. This appears to be a sign of issues with the micro PC itself. Strike three! There are just too many issues with this system. The refurbisher seems to have no QC in place to check for such issues. This was sent back for a refund.
