Works as intended
With sub zero temps started to run into issues with field mice. I used these in conjuntion with sticky traps to eliminate my field mice issue.Full disclosure, i have only used these for two full days. 1st day, i plugged these in. Day2 i cleaned and then set traps. I Set traps where i previously seen activity. 1st night with traps i landed 6 mice.Prior to buying these, i just used sticky traps. Id be lucky to get 1 a week. Appears that these make existing mice initially more active. As result, it is driving them into the traps. My hope is after eradicating my current problem that it will keep new mice at bay. Will update in future. But beginning results are promising.Update time-If you already have mice- this drives them nuts makes them active- that in turn makes you trap them. But seems like if leave plugged in all time- it is not effective. It is like the new mice come in use to it.So key is once you get rid of the initial run- get everything clean and stay on top of it. Eliminate any food source. If you see signs of activity- plug back in drive crazy and hope they run into traps.

I wanted to believe
I really wanted this product to work. I'd had one of these installed in my basement, and despite laying mouse traps with tasty treats on them, never caught a single mouse. Based on this evidence, I installed this product in two attic spaces. I also set up a webcam to alert me if any mice were present. Sure enough, every night, there were mice scurrying around. I then set up mouse traps, while leaving the ultrasonic repeller installed. I caught 5 mice in 2 days. I'd been reluctant to set up baited traps because I thought they might actually attract mice, but as I saw, they were going into the attic anyway. This experience tells me that if you've got mice in your house you have the following options:1. Prevent them from getting in. Easier said that done since they can get through the smallest of cracks, or make their own entries.2. Catch them with mouse traps.3. Hope that deterrents like this work, but place them at the likely point of entry. My concern is that if you put an area off limits by using a deterrent in that area, then they'll just go somewhere else in your house. You really want them gone from everywhere, not just moving around.Ironically, I can't say whether this product works or not. The mice didn't move into my attic with the ultrasonic installed, even when they were visiting, so that's something. On the other hand, the traps and webcam don't lie.

Work, but audible.
These seem to work exceptionally well when used as directed. Not sure what happened with some of the other reviewers.1. I moved into a house overrun by mice; approx 2-3 caught in snap traps per night using 4 traps and peanut butter.2. I kept going with the traps in my kitchen, but placed these plug-ins at the two doors of the kitchen, near the floor. Immediately, no mice in traps that night.3. Left 1 trap in kitchen, moved others to the dining room. Dining room traps full, kitchen empty. Moved the plug-in from the kitchen door connecting to the dining far door and moved the traps to the next room over, save the kitchen test trap.4. Repeated advancing of plug-ins whilst leaving a freshly baited trap in the kitchen each night. Results: never another mouse or signs of mice in the kitchen since starting to use the plug-ins, and continued catching mice in unprotected areas.5. Now only mice are in my garage, and only rarely catching one in a trap, no mice in the house proper.Unfortunately, I can hear them. It's not terribly obnoxious, but it's a fairly constant buzzing, like those old long office bulbs only a little louder.Doesn't seem to bother my dad's dog when he comes over.I'll probably try doing away with all but the one between my garage and house in the garage, soon, when more than a month passes without catching a mouse in a trap.

Works... I think
Ok so we bought a house that had a serious mouse issue. I caught upwards of 20-30 in the first two weeks. I then proceeded to declare WW3 on them and bought just about every mouse killing or repelling product you can imagine. Here is what I have concluded...Snap traps with a little bit of peanut butter - works great, but you must reapply the bait from time to time.Glue traps - work if you place them in the traffic area of the mouse.Irish spring soap - (read it online) I don't think this works as well of a repellent as what people wish it did. I put an open bar in the room where i catch a lot of mice, and still caught 2-3 in there.Ultrasonic repellent - I have noticed a decline in mice since i installed these, however I have also killed a bunch of the little bastards with snap traps and glue traps. I cannot say if this is the reason we have less or if i have just removed a bunch from the population. The night light is a cool feature and I like having it on in our hallway and basement areas. I would like to put one or two more in the garage (where I have trapped the most recent ones).Overall if you are going the extra mile and want to try something to get rid of mice, i say go for it. I don't think there is any definitive proof I could provide you other than saying that in my opinion they seem to work.

Not as shown on packaging
The packaging shows 2 night lights and 1 bug detergent. what was in the package I received was 1 night light and 2 bug deterrent only. I was ordering for the night lights and bought the shown package because that was what was offered.. Disappointed not as shown, but not worth fussing about. I am enjoying the one night light. And quality seems fine as was packaging and delivery.
