Kaito KA600 is the perfect radio for emergencies and disasters, it comes with all the features that you need in any emergency situation. It comes with a AC type brushless generator. The solar panel powers the radio by itself and charges the built-in batteries as well. Sturdy Portable Radio and More...
Nice little radio, I had no problems wit the instructions out of the box, everything functions as advertised, As I just received it, I can only tell you at this point that I hope it lasts for ever as I purchased it for use as an emergency radio, the kind dad had for the family-his didn't have solar or hand crank features. I am glad I bought it.

Good Kit
This is a good kit. The auxiliary antenna is necessary for any short wave reception. The sound quality isn’t great but that’s not why you are purchasing a radio like this.

I always have a noaa radio when I go camping lot of times their is no cell service and it is great to have access to weather reports when you see the sky turning dark and music this is the best one I have owned to date

Not the best choice for bug out bags.
Handy to have sitting around the house or in trunk of car. Not good for bug out bag. Turns on too easily. Anything pressing against it in your pack will turn it on and drain the juice. It is a little on the complicated side(don't lose the instruction booklet). Clock/Display stays on all the time. Would be nice if it timed out or had a shut off mode to conserve battery life.

Great radio
Great radio haven't tried the solar charging but all other options work fine, and for a small speaker it sounds great. I used by CC RADIO but no more this is much nicer.

Rip Off...Do Not Buy.
Do not buy this radio...it was a total piece of s***. You could not turn it off unless you took out the batteries. It mal functioned after day one. Biggest rip off I've come across in a while.
