I suspect this block may be too large for the lighter as it was most commonly used in test equipment (multimeters) and larger transistor radios. The other is a 504A which has the same length and is cyclindrical (round), and is just under 5/8" in diameter. If you look inside the lighter and use a ruler, you should be able to tell if it takes a rectangular block that's taller than it is thick, or a round battery.

The item I received was the 22.5 volt that I used to power an old Kodak flash gun I never noticed the different description.
