Love this stuff!
I love this stuff and wish it was more readily available in local shops. It works as described and keeps our area rugs from shifting around. Does it last forever? No - the non-slip does wear down over time and you need to replace. There are other non-slip options here on Amazon - those little corner thingies. But they are thicker and actually stick to both the carpet and the floor, which makes it challenging to pick the rug up to clean floors. You do not have that problem with this product - sticks to the rug, but not to the floor. This is definitely my go-to no slip rug tape!

Don’t bother
Completely useless. Rug moves around the exact same amount with the “adhesive” as without.

Couldn't be happier
I specifically was looking for a durable mat tape that would keep my mat in place during my administration of chores in the kitchen. But to be frank my 67 years old husband some time ago almost slipped & injured himself because the mat wouldn't stick onto my laminated floor.(He could have landed either on his back or even worse dislocated his hip but Thank God he grabbed to dear life the countertop section from the kitchen sink) What can I say : this is the ultimate lifesaver. Duck Brand Hold-It is a latex foam tape made to keep either your rugs or mats in place anywhere at home. It works on all floor surfaces like vinyl tile hardwood & laminate. My kitchen floor is laminate and as soon as I peel the liner and apply the latex foam in strips form behind the mat and position it on the floor : VOILA :) the kitchen mat beautifully fastens in place without a stitch of breakage under my feet. This is a must-have for senior citizens and physically-impaired individuals where health and home safety are absolute necessities for everyday living. It's been a week already and so far the application remains strong and the mat totally unmovable. Very happy for choosing this durable product and will purchase it again for future use.

Duck tape fails - First time
I've used Duct Tape for a lot of unintended purposes over the years. I reasoned that since this Duct Tape was intended to hold rugs to floors, it should do a good job of holding the cushions in my chair. Well, it kinda works, but not as well as I had hoped. The cushions still slip out after a while, but not as quickly as they did in the past. So, Duct Tape, if you're reading this, there's probably a market for a cushion holding tape too. Get on it if you would and promote it with great fanfare so I'll know when it comes out. It's either that or I end up wrapping the cushion TO the chair, ala most duct tape solutions! hahaIF I ever use it on rugs, I'll update my review, but for cushions, just three stars and an "eh".

Surprisingly, it is working.
So far it is working. I have an area rug that continuously "walked" on my hardwood floor.I could move it very easily by just nudging it with my foot. I installed this tape around the entire perimeter of this rug (5' x 5'), and hoped for the best, but wasn't expecting miracles. I did take the time and care to stomp the edges of the carpet (where the tape was installed) multiple times after installation in an effort to somewhat adhere it to the floor. I also have never tried/ tested the adhesion. I just left it undisturbed after stomping on it repeatedly. We are on day four, and it hasn't moved a single bit. It is installed on hardwood in front of my sectional sofa that is in constant use by two rambunctious boys. So far, so good.

Doesn’t work with dogs
The tape sticks well to the rugs I have, but does not keep them in place most of the time. If a human walks over it, the rug stays in place, but it does not work for my dogs.Good tape quality and tack to rugBad grip on floor

So far it’s working!
I’m a renter so I was really looking for something that did require sticking to the floor. Since this product didn’t have amazing reviews I was skeptical but it was the closest thing I could find to a single side adhesive (rug side). We’re trying it on 3 runners so far that my cat loves to run over in the mornings. So far I’m hopeful. It was super easy to apply and the rug hasn’t moved yet (it’s been 2 full days of cat and humans walking over these runner rugs a lot). I can purposely move the rug with my foot if I push forcefully. It’s definitely relying between friction of the non-sticky side of the tape and the flooring to keep the rug in place. I think this is why some folks have had luck and others haven’t because the friction with different floor types is higher or lower. I’m hopeful this continues to work for me!

Works very well...........
Folks had a piece of rubber backed carpeting on the concrete steps leading into the house from their garage. The carpeting was starting to peel off the concrete and becoming a possible tripping hazard. Bought it because it says it's a PERMANENT ADHESIVE.... and it sure is. I cut a piece to size, peeled off the leading edge of the paper and applied it little to little to the carpet as I was peeling the paper. When that was done, I peeled off the other side ready to apply to the concrete. Once you "stick it"........it's STUCK GOOD. If you screw up....... you'll have a heck of a time trying to un-do it. It's a little difficult to peel the paper off to get to the sticky part exposed. If you use the double sided tape for use with the plastic window covering people use in the winter, you'll know what I'm talking about. But it works as long as you apply it to a CLEAN, DRY, DIRT FREE type surface.
