Jackson JS Series Kelly JS32 - Ferrari Red

This is my second kelly. I've owned 20+ electric guitars. Deans, Fenders, Ibanez, Epiphones, Peaveys etc. and I wouldn't say it's the best sounding, having factory pickups and being a $300 guitar, but it is the most comfortable body and a neck second only to a stealth ml. Normally you get what you pay for, but this kelly is a little more than you'd expect. Plays nice, nice finish, tight fretboard. My only complaint is that somebody at the factory doesn't know how to put strings on a floyd rose, but I was gonna restring it immediately anyway. All around, great guitar. Definitely happy with it.

As a previous custom Jackson owner of over 30 years I have to say that this Kelly model is almost on par with my $1500 custom Jackson.Jackson guitars always feel like the Lamborghini or a Ducati of guitars and this one feels like that too.I have to remind myself the note speed limit to avoid shredder tickets.Beginners will be ecstatic and as a player of many years I am also.The Floyd Rose on the Kelly is excellent and the finish is phenomenal.Highly recommended!

I mean, getting a guitar with a Floyd Rose, that's this well built, and has this great feel of a neck is an awesome deal! I give it 4 stars! Reason for deducting a star is if you're a beginner I would definitely stray away from a guitar with a Floyd. They're just not beginner friendly, and Explorer style guitars like this some beginners probably won't like. It's a little uncomfortable standing and playing, but that's something I'd just have to get used too. Other then that, great guitar!

This guitar arrived within the stated delivery time and in perfect condition. It was well packed and contained all the associated items, eg. Allen wrenches, Tremolo arm and instructions. The strings were pre-installed slightly snug which was great and once I tuned them the guitar was ready to play. No other adjustment was needed. I'm really happy with this purchase!

The guitar required at least 2 hours of adjusting and fixing before it was ready to play. The frets stick out past the sides of the neck, the neck itself was bowed out, there was glue on the fretboard, and I had to oil the wood immediately.I am giving it 2 stars simply because it was at least not damaged .
