Q: How does this compare to other heavy duty Sheep Clippers (especially in terms of the heat produced on blades)? Need cooled every few mins?

Good Afternoon, Our 400 motor with either the clipper or shearing head run much cooler than other clippers and shearers as they are front vented rather than down vented. However all clippers and shearers should be oiled every 60-90 seconds so that the cutting devices stay as sharp as long as possible. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you

Q: I was told I need the 13 blade? Is that the coarse blade

If you have a clipper than you might want to use the coarse blade set. If you are using a shearing machine than a 13 tooth Spirit comb with a 4 pt cutter would work together on a shearing head. Please let us know if you have any other questions. The picture associated with this question is a clipping machine so a 13 tooth comb would not work with this type of head. Thank you.

The clippers without the blades weighs approximately 3 lbs. Clippers with a blade set weighs approximately 3.4 lbs.
